Mozzarella e Basilico In Bari

PROS - delicious Neapolitan style pizza, good dough and ingredients, MINUSES - we got a table in a room where there were no windows, it was terribly stuffy and hot.. the service also leaves something to be desired, after 20 minutes of waiting I had to ask for drinks, the waitress who finally brought them had an offended face and a sulking face, she didn't even say please or sorry you had to wait.. Of course the coperto for this nice service was added..

Today we went to a restaurant recommended by the local guys. At first it was very nice. My wife ordered a pizza which was very good and can be safely recommended to anyone. However... when I ordered a second course, I first asked for SPAGHETTI ALLA CARBONARA, but after a while I changed my mind and asked for spaghetti bolognese, which was not on the menu. The waiter said it was fine. After a while he brought me two plates with the first one which I exchanged for the second one. I told him that I had only asked for the second one. I explained to him that he had misunderstood because I do not come for a dinner consisting of two pasta dishes. He left me the second plate taking the second one, which I refused. After a while he came back and told me that I had to take the first one to go. I refused and said that it was not my fault that he did not understand me and that I would not pay for the first course. I added that if there was still a problem, I could ask the manager, after which the waiter said it was fine... this is also a strange situation for such a place... if you find yourself in such a situation, considering the level of such a restaurant, trying to force and correct your mistake by offering to take the first course with you is not appropriate. Judge for yourself... also, the tomato sauce was too salty...

I've been there a couple of times and I think I'll be back again. Fabulous pizza, fast service, wide selection of flavors. Highly recommended.

Italian restaurant with its typical atmosphere, loud, noisy, cheerful. Menu only in Italian. Friendly service, I managed to communicate in English without any problems. Delicious food *****!

Mozzarella e Basilico è una pizzeria e ristorante situato in Piazza Giuseppe Massari 8 a Bari, che propone una cucina ispirata alla tradizione partenopea, con un’attenzione particolare alla qualità degli ingredienti e alla varietà delle preparazioni. Il locale è rinomato per le sue pizze in stile napoletano, caratterizzate da un impasto soffice e un cornicione alto. Tra le proposte più apprezzate troviamo la Montanara, una pizza fritta e poi infornata con mozzarella fiordilatte, pomodorini di collina, grana grattugiato e basilico . Altre varianti includono la Brontese, con crema di pistacchio, mortadella e limone grattugiato, e la Bufalina, con pomodorini e bocconcini di mozzarella di bufala a crudo. Il menù offre una selezione di antipasti sfiziosi, come il Panariello, un misto fritto partenopeo con arancini, crocchè, frittatine, zeppoline e verdure pastellate . Tra i primi piatti spiccano il Risotto Meb, preparato con crema di basilico, mozzarella fiordilatte e spolverata di stagionato in cialda di parmigiano, e i Paccheri con crema di melanzane, prosciutto crudo di Parma, olive nere e riccioli di stagionato. Per concludere il pasto, il ristorante propone dolci come la Cheesecake ai frutti di bosco e il Tiramisù . La carta delle bevande include una selezione di vini rossi e bianchi, tra cui Aglianico e Falanghina, oltre a birre artigianali e bevande analcoliche. Il personale è molto educato e servizievole. Il locale molto carino e pulito.

Ero curiosa di provarlo e sono rimasta soddisfatta! Per essere in una zona centrale di Bari, il ristorante propone un menù originale e con dei prezzi economici. Abbiamo preso un primo e un secondo e le porzioni erano anche abbondanti. Sicuramente ritorneremo per provare le pizze, che dall'aspetto promettevano molto bene! Staff gentile e professionale!
