Mountain Castle In Giaveno

I've been there several times, the food is good, the atmosphere is familiar, you have to keep in mind that it's in Giaveno and the clientele is definitely Piedmontese, there are no extraordinary dishes but I recommend it anyway.

I've been going to this place for almost 10 years. The food is always good, and that's probably why it's a winner. However, what used to be a slight delay in delivery is getting worse and worse. Waiting over half an hour just to order, then another half an hour before getting your first course. Let's just say that if you're in a hurry for food, this isn't the place to be. It's a real shame because the food is good, but the service needs to improve. Having to wait two hours for food is unacceptable. Takeout also falls short in this regard: they tell you over the phone that your order will be ready in 30 minutes, but then when you show up to pick it up, they make you wait another hour. If they had more staff and managed orders better, this place would deserve 5 out of 5 stars.

We sit down at 8pm on a Saturday evening, at 9.30pm there still wasn't a dish on the table.. It's fine, I can understand that it was full etc, an unexpected event can happen but they even make me pay for the cover charge and the coke when I basically had to go out without having eaten ANYTHING, even not at all... They could have handled it differently so as not to lose the customer. Among other things, we were regular customers because we came often and I was surprised to even find a comment substantially the same as mine among the reviews. Never again unfortunately...
