It was my favorite pastry shop, excellent quality, but from today it has only lost points due to the rudeness shown to me by the gentleman at the checkout.

Locale accogliente, vecchio stile, con uno stile cortese, cordiale e ossequioso soprattutto nei confronti della clientela locale e abituale, che sembra essere prevalente. Più ‘sbrigativi’ nei confronti degli ‘estranei’ cosa che può essere anche un po’ naturale ma il problema è che la differenza si percepisce in maniera spiccata se ti intrattieni all’interno del locale e all’avventore di passaggio può anche non fare troppo piacere. Consumazioni a prezzi corretti, al banco. Prodotti e bevande buone e curate. Io provo una buona pasta e un caffè americano ben fatto a 2,90 euro.

Reference point every Saturday morning for breakfast, the best way to start the weekend. Kind, artisanal, quality products, and above all good. Welcoming and kind owners and staff. What more could you ask for!? Go and visit them, you won't be disappointed, on the contrary... See you Saturday morning!!

I have to say that the pastry shop disappointed me overall. Place with approximate furnishings and which I don't see justified by being "the place of the past", considering the area it can maintain the tradition but update itself. Braid for breakfast really nothing special, I can list several pastry shops within 1 km that do much better. Kind approach but no table service (4 people at the counter seem like too many to manage a room with two windows and 7-8 tables in a row). Prices normal.

Buon posto per la colazione, i tavoli non sono moltissimi, ma e' comunque confortevole all'interno, buona la qualità di brioches & similari, io (ma e' un parere personale), cambierei la marca del caffe' usato...

I have been seeing this pastry shop for at least 30 years and only now have I tried it. I can say it is a magical place. Very kind staff, retro and genuine atmosphere with a touch of elegance. Top breakfasts. In my opinion the best brioches in Milan. Well done!!

On a long weekend in Milan and having to go to the Teatro Nazionale in the evening, we passed by what seemed to us to be "a small bar" quite by chance. But what an error it is much more than that! ! What a pleasant surprise! ! A warm, welcoming, deliciously Milanese little place that puts you at ease and makes you feel wonderfully familiar. A boss as we like them, friendly, jovial, who chats with you and equally pleasant customers. If we hadn't had the theater we would have stayed again! ! Thank you for your welcome and your kindness, we felt wonderfully at home.. 😉😉 the people of Marseille...

31/01/2025: Incredible for gluten free and coeliacs and would recommend, dedicated gluten free menu. Was a bit of a trek from our accomodation, but so worthwhile and would do again. We ordered a gluten free pizza and calzone and both were amazing - couldn’t tell it was gluten free! Great portions, we couldn’t finish and took the leftovers for the next day. We arrived at opening and were seated and served promptly. One of the waiters randomly gave us a paper bag with bread in it while we were waiting for our order (which we think he had been snacking on at the start of the shift), no other customers appeared to be given a random bag of bread, and then a different server took it away when they cleared our plates, even though we took the pizza etc as leftovers - was a bit bizarre! Huge space and must be heaving in summer, but on a Tuesday night in January it was nice and mellow.

12/01/2025: What can I say... it's one of those places without infamy or praise, ideal if you're passing through the area, but nothing more. The management has changed, but the menu now is very basic, too old fashioned... (80's I'd say...) I was expecting a little more choice on the meat main courses and side dishes. It took me a while to choose what to order, since I didn't want pizza. Ok for the spaghetti with seafood... generous portions... but nothing that adds novelty or a signature to the dishes... so you can say "I'll be back". The place was practically empty, which is very strange for a restaurant on the weekend. The service could be better... a little inattentive... I must have asked 3 times to have cutlery brought to me between one course and another because if you take it away I won't eat with my hands... it should be automatic to bring new ones to the table table. And it was JUST us. Just enough for the kitchen, I hope the pizzeria keeps them afloat for a long time... because we're not there with the rest.
