Historic, talented, and knowledgeable, everything from gelato to cremolata and aperitivo is excellent, with fair prices (one of the few in Soverato). Others overcharge without any skill or expertise. Their only flaw is that they leave customers sitting at tables for hours after they've finished their drinks, so because of this rudeness, you end up standing for too long.

We had two ice cream cones and a cremolata.
The cremolata was very good, but the ice creams weren't particularly noteworthy, either in terms of consistency (some ice grains, perhaps due to incorrect storage temperature) or quantity.
Prices were in line.

The three stars reflect the average quality of the gelato compared to the service provided. The gelato is truly exquisite; the ingredients used are top-quality, and it's noticeable on the palate. A downside is the meager portion size. I'd understand if I were in a run-of-the-mill gelato shop on the Navigli canals in Milan, but on the Ionian coast of Calabria, where generosity reigns, that's unheard of. Last but not least, pardon the pun, the rudeness and apathy of the lady at the cash register make a case of kidney stone seem less bothersome.

Fantastic granitas and brioches, for me the best in the area. As for the rest, if you're looking for breakfast, the croissants aren't anything special, but they're not bad... still, definitely recommended.
