Monte Frumentario In Assisi

Lovely, welcoming and familiar place. The small room set up in the cave at the back of the room is wonderful. The claim "simply homemade" is very apt: every meal is an experience made genuine by characteristic flavors and a cuisine that truly seems like that of "our grandmothers". A note of thanks also to the staff, always kind, efficient and fast. The owners are also delightful people, always available and attentive to the needs of each customer. Unmissable!

If you find yourself in the footsteps of the Basilica of San Francesco d'Assisi I recommend this place. Nice and welcoming place. Giovanni, the owner, is very kind and friendly. All traditional Umbrian dishes. Taken as an appetizer, 2 quality platters, we have 2 plates of porcini and saffron strangozzi, 2 plates of pasta with meat sauce and as a main course, 2 plates of meatballs with lemon, 1 plate containing lots of baked potatoes and 3 quality sausages. 2 bottles of wine 4 bottles of water. All fresh pasta. I recommend it to everyone. There were 8 of us.

We were there for dinner on the last day of the year, the atmosphere is very warm and typical. The dishes are excellent, prepared with care, the staff is very kind and friendly. We will definitely return.

Excellent experience. Tried the pizza with porcini mushrooms and fresh black truffle. Excellent. My daughter enjoyed some excellent tagliatelle with wild boar ragout. Very kind owner, same waiters. Honest prices. I highly recommend it.

Siamo stati in questo posto per due giorni di fila, di cui uno la notte di capodanno. Titolare e camerieri educatissimi e disponibili. Primi piatti eccezionali. Se passate da Assisi, questa fermata è d’obbligo.

Restaurante excelente! Fizemos uma visita em família e foi tudo perfeito! Comida maravilhosa, preço ótimo e ambiente super acolhedor! A família foi super simpática conosco. Amamos muito a visita!!
