Beware of taxis that try to scam you. The terminal is huge and clean. Plenty of services.

Please bear in mind that that kids age end at 12. The ticket on the train to FCO costs you then 64 euro. So it's cheaper to take the taxi if you didn't get the ticket in advance (then it will cost you 14).
Be aware of this as there is no sign of such thing anywhere!

A modern and huge station. The platform for Civitavecchia is very far (not located with the other platforms), so for those cruising and returning to Rome from a different station, make sure to arrive at least 15–20 minutes early and don’t wait until the scheduled time. The gates to the platforms will let you through when you scan your ticket, even if it’s not exactly your departure time yet. Many people missed their train because they were surprised by the distance and the time it takes to find the right platform.

Took express bus from FCO via Terravision for 7€ which was good, but at Roma Termini I got taken by a man with some sort of lanyard I thought he was an employee of the station. I asked for directions for the train and bus to get to my hotel. I had just arrived from Toronto for my first trip overseas and was happy that he spoke good English and was so friendly, taking me in his arm to show me the way. I did not know until I unpacked that he had swiped my whole wallef with cash and all my cards. I even tipped him! what a rude welcome to the start of my trip. And I beat myself up for being so foolish & trusting. 😪

Station part: Very large station, remember to come in advance! Trains which serve the city very well, we mainly took the Leonardo Express to the airport!
Metro part: dirty, crowded station (only connection between line A and B…), maximum vigilance for pickpockets… In short, not the best existing station, but obligatory and despite everything complete in terms of shops

Quite busy especially this Easter holiday. Best to get a taxi here if you have luggage and book your tickets ahead. There are numerous platforms and they don’t get announce until last minute so it’s a bit stressful you can’t get time to eat. Free snack in board when you take business class tickets

Rome train station, high-speed rail station, take the high-speed rail from A.Roma Lifestyle Hotel to Florence. The nearest Rome high-speed rail station is Roma Termini. A.Roma Lifestyle Hotel is located in Rome's EUR district (European Quarter), a little further from the city center. From the hotel to Roma Termini, you need to first take local transportation, such as a taxi (about 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions) or a bus (for example, starting from nearby Viale America or Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, transfer to Metro Line B to Termini, the total journey is about 40-50 minutes). Roma Termini is Rome's main railway hub and the departure point for high-speed trains such as Frecciarossa and Italo. The high-speed train from here to Florence's Firenze Santa Maria Novella station takes about 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes, depending on the type of train. Roma Termini offers frequent high-speed train services and fares vary based on advance booking and seat class (usually €20-€60). It is recommended to purchase tickets in advance on the Trenitalia or Italo official websites and allow time to arrive at the station from the hotel. This is the most convenient starting point for high-speed trains from Rome to Florence.
Rome's main airport - Fiumicino - Leonardo da Vinci International Airport (FCO) - has high-speed rail services that run directly to the train station in central Rome. There is a train station (Fiumicino Aeroporto) within the airport, offering a variety of rail options, including high-speed rail and special trains to Roma Termini, Rome's main train station. High-speed rail service: Frecciarossa (Red Arrow train) This is one of the high-speed trains of Trenitalia, with a top speed of 300 km/h. Although Frecciarossa mainly serves between major Italian cities, there are also a few direct high-speed services from Fiumicino Airport to Rome. The journey from the airport to Roma Termini takes approximately 26-31 minutes and is a fast direct service. Fares vary depending on time of booking and cabin class, usually between €14-€20. There are relatively few services, with about a few direct services a day to Frecciarossa in Roma Termini, so it is recommended to check the timetable in advance.
Leonardo Express (Leonardo Express) Although this is not a "high-speed train" in the traditional sense, it is a fast direct train that specifically connects Fiumicino Airport and Roma Termini. The journey is fixed at 32 minutes and has no stops. The bus departs every 15 minutes (peak period) to 30 minutes (off-peak period), and the service time is from 6:23 am to 11:23 pm. Fares are €14 (one way), children under 12 years old are free. Although not as fast as the Frecciarossa, it is often considered the most practical option due to its frequent services and convenience. How to get there: The airport train station is located near Terminal 3. It takes about 5-10 minutes to walk from the terminal and follow the signs.
In Roma Termini, the Leonardo Express usually departs from platform 23 or 24, while the Frecciarossa may use other platforms, check the electronic display for details. Summary: Rome Fiumicino Airport does have a high-speed train (Frecciarossa) to the Rome train station Roma Termini, but the frequency is limited. If more frequent service is required, the Leonardo Express is the more common and reliable option. It is recommended to check and purchase tickets on the Trenitalia official website (www.trenitalia.com) or Italo official website (www.italotreno.it) in advance according to your arrival time to ensure a smooth trip.
