The crypt is in excellent condition, even though the ticket costs €7, it is worth every cent!

The cathedral is a beautiful example of Apulian Romanesque architecture. The crypt with its griffin mosaic is a must-see.

The city itself is worth a visit. A medieval architectural marvel that retains its period charm intact. The beautiful external colonnade on the sides, which we've seen in other cathedrals, including that of Chieti, is stunning. The crypt is also interesting.

Bitonto Cathedral is a splendid place, rich in history and charm. It's a shame that the current management doesn't reflect that same beauty: an unsympathetic, rigid, and distant attitude risks creating coldness rather than welcome. It's particularly striking to hear someone call the Cathedral "my home," when it should be the house of the Lord and a place open to all. Those who lead a community should know how to welcome the faithful, listen to them, and make them feel part of something, not push them away. With more attention to people, this place would truly live up to its history.

This is a beautiful old church, and I wish I could learn more about it.

Beautiful experience, a special atmosphere of serenity in the cathedral

A soul of stone and history: a jewel of Apulian Romanesque architecture not to be missed! Descending into the crypt and seeing the marvelous mosaic of the winged griffin is like touching the city's millennia-old history.

Truly a beautiful basilica both inside and out.

Visited on Sunday afternoon around closing time. Wonderful experience. Stunning location.

Very interesting excavations dating back to pre-Christian foundations.
