I was hoping to be insulted by the infamous cashier, too, as some in the comments below reported. But I was disappointed: the cashier was actually kind. The food was excellent, plentiful, and really cheap. I recommend it!

Fantastic Miss Hu served us with her amazing candor—try it and believe it! Direct and convincing at the same time. We appreciated her promptness in serving all the courses, and with every bite she was with us and smiling at us. Always worth repeating. Let's hope this fantastic shop will be around for another thousand years and more.

Between one insult after another, a sauce paid for in cash, and several fork throws, we enjoyed a dinner marked by conviviality and sociability in this charming corner of the world. The true experience is surviving the insults, eating cheerfully and simply, and socializing with the people in line, making fun of this daring Beijing showgirl. Institution, quantity and quality, Cantonese smiles, and paranormal adventures: all this is Mister HU.
