The glories of the past are relived more in the photos on the walls than in the dishes. The quality of the products is good, but the tradition of the dishes has faded. The 'mbuttunat peppers aren't outstanding; the eggplant parmigiana is better. The spaghetti with clams is adequate, but the Genovese with broken candles is unquestionable; in this dish, you find the authentic soul of Naples. The pastiera, while beautiful to look at, made with the unblended wheat as per tradition, had a pastry that was too soft and not at all crunchy. The price is high, on par with a chic restaurant on the seafront, but let's remember that we're in a trattoria near the station in Piazza Garibaldi.

I had dinner with my family at Mimì's. I felt like I was at my mother's house. It may seem trivial and unimportant, but my mother was the best cook in the world. The flavor of the peppers, the parmigiana, the ziti with lard... they took me back in time. At my mother's house! Excellent cuisine. Making fried dishes can be incredibly difficult if you're cooking so much to follow Neapolitan tradition. Too many restaurateurs think they're serving traditional cuisine, but they're light years away. Here, you can taste that every dish is steeped in experience, an experience passed down but also with love, and thus becomes poetry. A special mention to the guys who work there, who are incredibly kind, friendly, and polite, and finally to Mr. Mimì, a delightful person who has given us a restaurant where you feel at home. I really think we'll see each other again soon to celebrate my wedding anniversary. Thank you all

We were looking for an upmarket, traditional, Neapolitan restaurant to say thank you and host some new Neapolitan friends who did us an enormous favour. We three arrived but their babysitter let them down. On what was clearly a busy night our table for five needed to be a table for six ... and the evening only got better. The child was great company. The restaurant team made all six of us feel at home. The traditional Neapolitan cuisine lived up to and above its reputation - Vongole! The staff helped us understand the essentials of amari digestives. And all at a reasonable price. Mimi alla Ferrovia is the one restaurant, after the obligatory pizzerias, you must dine at in Naples. Go there. Be happy.

An old-fashioned place, with remarkable quality food. The first courses are excellent, and among the second courses, the grilled calamari with fennel and mango salsa.

Located next to Casa Pacífico, we were lucky enough to get dinner there, provided we arrived early, as it was very popular. And it certainly lived up to its reputation... excellent value for money and superb dishes that give a good overview of Neapolitan cuisine.

A restaurant with a long tradition of Neapolitan cuisine. Exceptional hospitality, politeness, friendliness, and warmth are the elements you sense as soon as you enter the restaurant, then you're overwhelmed by the aromas of the dishes that will soon brighten your meal. You're spoiled for choice, from soups (the pasta and beans are fabulous) to spaghetti with clams, to fish, always fresh, to vegetables cooked in any way (I recommend the broccoli rabe and pan-fried escarole). The pastiera and babà are the extraordinary conclusion to a delicious lunch.
