Mignon Café in Milan was one of those discoveries that happened completely by chance as I was leaving Milano Centrale station, and it turned out to be a real gem. The place is small but full of life, always buzzing with people, which tells you right away that it is trusted by locals as well as travelers. The food is excellent, especially the lobster tail pastry which was nothing short of amazing—crispy on the outside with a rich, creamy filling that was unforgettable. I also tried the cannoli, which had the perfect balance of crunch and smooth sweetness. The coffee is among the best I have had in Italy, strong, fragrant, and prepared with care. Mignon is more than just a quick café stop; it feels like a landmark that captures the spirit of Milanese hospitality. If you are arriving or leaving by train, this is a must-visit spot. Even with the crowd and the rush, everything is well-organized, polished, and simply delicious.

Excellent breakfast while waiting for the train. Clean and convenient location right on the platform. Fast service and friendly staff. Reasonable prices.

The coffee is reasonably priced but isn’t good. The staff at the register were nice, the lady pouring coffee was rude. Standing at the bar she seemed upset I asked for water and served it in a paper cup despite every other person at the bar getting a glass. There is AC. The fan is a little loud but it’s a good place to wait between trains.
