Mieru Mieru In Milano

Best meal we’ve had while traveling in Italy. Good food, good wine, good atmosphere, and such warm hospitality from the owner and family. We asked for recommendations from the owner, and ordered octopus “alla pignata” for appetizer. Next was amberjack carpaccio. For mains we got “Chitarrine” alla tarantina and Baked fish fillet. The octopus is fresh and tender, tomato base with the basil leaves is so fragrant. Tasting the dish somehow made me feel nostalgic. Amberjack carpaccio is also fresh and pairs surprisingly well with the red pepper and olive oil. Baked fish amberjack fillet was an aromatic treat. The meat was fresh and flavorful, and pairs nicely with the potatoes and vegetables. The “Chitarrine” alla tarantina was also very delicious, with the pasta cooked perfectly and the mussels fresh and flavorful as well. Overall it was an incredible meal, and we left wondering why it does not have at least a Michelin recommendation. Thank you for an unforgettable dinner.

Fish like in few places in Milan

Excellent Apulian seafood trattoria on the Navigli. The quality of the food is definitely the best thing about this place; the two first courses are top-notch, both the spaghetti alla tarantina and the mezzé paccheri with scorpion fish. The mixed antipasto, fried anchovies, gratinated mussels, and stewed octopus, was also delicious. Excellent value. The wine list is nonexistent, and the service is a bit rushed. It's a shame; they would have a better chance of building customer loyalty.

Apulian cuisine, mostly seafood, attentive and warm service, a somewhat simple atmosphere

Let's start with the assumption that if you're looking for a typical Milanese restaurant, don't go there. You'll be too happy with the hospitality. My husband and I were craving southern Italian fish, and to our surprise, this restaurant thrilled us. Not because of the elaborate dishes, but because of the simple ones. The mother prepares a fish soup with tomato sauce that truly takes you back in time. Davide, the son and owner, is incredibly kind and has maintained the classic table service approach that I adore, as does my husband. I highly recommend you go because the fish is fresh and the ingredients are truly fantastic. Giulia and Paolo.
