Cafe in Bologna city centre with gluten free options (both sweet and savoury!). This custard pie with apple slices was pretty good, a sweet treat I bought myself yesterday afternoon after my Bologna explorations. The service was fast and the waiter was very friendly, but this was definitely too expensive for italian standards: 4€ for a pastry is definitely too much guys.

Nicest baristas around and very best GF creme filled crossiants I've had since diagnosis (I live in the States). We are booking a return trip and I am seeking lodging within walking distance of Bar Meso, that's how good it is!

I found this bar in a corner of Bologna. The food was very good, and the ingredients were fresh. The service was very efficient and the staff were super friendly. They also offer gluten-free options.

This place makes some of the best gluten-free croissants I’ve ever had — perfectly flaky and full of flavor! Pistachio, nocciola, marmalade, and cioccolato are all winners. One time they sold out, so I tried the chocolate rolly polly instead, and it turned out to be a great backup choice. Always worth a visit! Ps. They also offer gluten free savoury items!

Although the coffee bar is very central and frequented by tourists during the day, it has nevertheless retained its traditional charm and is extremely pleasant. If you want to start your day with a delicious coffee in Bologna, then this is the place to go! The breakfast selection is extensive and delicious. We enjoyed it so much that we spontaneously went back for a second coffee and brioche.

Efficient staff, excellent location, right in the center but on a very quiet side street. Excellent food, safe for those with food intolerances. Highly recommended for celiacs!

I came to Meso for a gluten-free breakfast, since I'm celiac. The chocolate croissant I ordered arrived warm and was really good. My friend, on the other hand, ordered savory crepes and swore they were delicious. As for the prices, I can't say if they're high because I'm not from the area. Overall, I recommend the place.

09/11/2025: Trattoria associated with a gas station on the Via Emilia. I'd passed by many times and decided to stop. You expect a place from the past. The atmosphere is pleasant. The cuisine is good, offering traditional dishes without any extravagance. The decor is typical of a trattoria: napkins, not tablecloths. The service is acceptable. The menu honestly lists the prices. It's not cheap. It makes you think of old-fashioned cuisine, with generous portions. The portion sizes, however, are limited, almost nouvelle cuisine-style. The prices are high for the amount served and commensurate with the elegance you might not expect from this type of trattoria.
16/10/2025: This place is a must-try, whether for a quick lunch or a Sunday brunch. The menu is always interesting and the dishes are excellent.

06/11/2025: We took advantage of the Baccanale event to try the themed menu, this year's "A World of Spices." Colorful dishes, rich in flavor and texture, with a wealth of spices carefully balanced, each dish presented with a brief description of the ingredients used, and informal and truly pleasant service—a wonderful experience I highly recommend!
05/10/2025: Always good. You feel good, you eat well, and you leave happier than when you came in. Booking is a good idea. It's also excellent for breakfast, especially for those with lactose intolerance, and in Imola you can't find anything edible. It's a real treat here.
