If you're in San Giovanni and love Irish pub-style venues, you can't miss a stop here. We dined here a few nights ago, and I have to say we had a great time. They have a good menu with drinks and excellent food. It's a great place for brunch, a quick lunch, or even a quick beer with a small appetizer.

Friendly service nice drinks and great food. Also food all night. We loved the place and will return anytime when back in Rome.

I rarely write negative reviews, but unfortunately this time I have to. Given the fact that we waited a good 45 minutes for at least the bruschetta we ordered as an appetizer, After a long wait, the rock-hard hamburger arrived. The menu said "200g hamburger." You can see from the photos that it was ridiculously large, even for the size of the bun. The toppings were tasteless. After so much light, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. The fries were cold and soft. My dad's sausage arrived raw. We ate here because we were going to the hospital and it was close by, but honestly, I don't want to repeat the experience. On a positive note, the waitress was very nice and kind to us. It certainly wasn't her fault that the wait times were so long and the kitchen was so sloppy. I understand that we're in a tourist area and it was a Sunday, but if you can't handle all those covers, don't seat people at the tables.

Our two nights in Rome were spent at the beginning and end of each night at Merulana. The food, drinks, and service from all the staff were impeccable, especially the bartender (a really nice Indian guy) and Mimi (the Romanian)! Thank you for receiving us with such hospitality and warmth. We will never forget it!
