I returned after years of absence because I was born in Case Travieri and Mercato 8, former I Cugni, former Hostaria Sora Teresa is traditionally a place that makes EATING WELL a real BELIEF and I must say that it has not been denied, the lady in charge of the tables was Gracious and Kind and we also met the Chef to whom we complimented the first courses with clams and the tagliolini with scampi, all very fresh and well cooked. Young and very talented, absolutely worth trying.

Posto che ricorda le osterie di una volta, ambiente informale e casareccio; sala deliziosa con arcate e piastrelle simil mattone. Siamo stati per pranzo in questo ristorante nella sala interna climatizzata. Per iniziare abbiamo preso l'antipasto "mercato 8" che comprende insalata di mare, polpo e patate, polpo in guazzetto, sauté di cozze, alici fritte, bruschette con alici marinate e due spiedini di pesce fritti: tutto ottimo, prodotti freschi; a seguire abbiamo ordinato orata al forno con broccoletti ripassati (cottura del pesce perfetta, carne saporita) e fettuccine ai funghi porcini e gamberetti (una libidine). Porzioni abbondanti, rapporto qualità prezzo ottima. Personale cordiale e gentile.

(Lingua originale: italiano) Piccola premessa doverosa: ho visitato "Mercato 8" una sera d'inizio febbraio 2025 durante un'uscita tra coppie. LOCATION: "Mercato 8" è un ristorante semplice ed è proprio questa sua semplicità a renderlo accogliente e adatto a una serata informale come quella viassuta da me. È situato verso piazza Lodi, quindi, tra l'Appia e la Casilina. Non è un turistico. In più, tutti gli ambienti sono puliti e decorosi, con i bagni sono situati in fondo di una piccola scalinata e questo, per me, è un punto a sfavore. PERSONALE: Il personale è molto professionale, gentile e affabile. DESCRIZIONE DEL MENÙ: Trovo che il menù sia un punto a favore: è molto ricco e variegato (non ho mai visto un menù così in nessun ristorante della Capitale). È possibile trovare di tutto, dalle pizze (anch'esse variegate) ai primi e secondi divisi, entrambi, tra quelli di terra e quelli di mare, arrivando, poi, ai contorni, passando per le insalatone. DESCRIZIONE DEL CIBO: Ho preso un primo di mare (da dividere) e un secondo di terra (da dividere anch'esso) e devo dire che le porzioni erano abbondanti (ma senza essere esagerate) e i cibi erano squisiti. RAPPORTO QUALITÀ-PREZZO: Mah, secondo me, i prezzi sono adeguati alla qualità. RAGGIUNGIBILITÀ: Come ho detto prima, "Mercato 8" si trova in una zona quasi centrale di Roma. Purtroppo, un altro punto a sfavore è il raggiungere il locale con la propria automobile: trovare parcheggio in zona, soprattutto il sabato sera (giorno in cui mi è capitato di andare) è praticamente impossibile, a meno di girare in continuazione. Per il resto è raggiungibile con la metro C in quanto vicino piazza Lodi, o con altri mezzi pubblici. PUNTI DI FORZA: - Menù: variegato e ricco - Cibi: squisiti e dalle porzioni abbondanti ma non esagerate; - Personale: professionale, gentile e affabile; - Ambiente: familiare. PUNTI DI DEBOLEZZA: - I bagni: situati al fondo di una piccola rampa di scale sono inaccessibili a chi è in carrozzina; - Dove si trova: purtroppo, nella zon ain cui si trova è complicatissimo trovare parcheggio. IN CONCLUSIONE: Se volete andare in un ristorante non turistico, con un menù variegato e ricco, con del personale professionale e affabile, in cui si mangia bene, "Mercato 8" fa al caso vostro.

Tanta scelta nel menù (forse troppa) alcuni piatti li ho trovati un po’ “anni 80”. Cibo abbastanza buono e ben servito. I prezzi forse un po’ gonfiati dato che quelli dei menu fissi (nn soggetti a promo) e dell’asporto erano molto molto più bassi . Nel complesso un buon ristorante ma non mi ha entusiasmato
