Absolutely loved this restaurant! If I could give it six stars, I genuinely would. Easily one of the best places I’ve eaten at in Rome.
We paid €52 for two people, including drinks, and had two dishes plus a salad. The quality of the ingredients was excellent, and everything we ordered was incredibly delicious - I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.
They also have a buffet option, but we decided to order from the regular menu instead, and I’m so glad we did. Every dish we tried was fantastic.
What made the experience even better was the service. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive and welcoming, and we felt very well looked after from the moment we arrived.
Amazing food, great ingredients, excellent service and very reasonable prices for the quality. I would absolutely come back and recommend this place to anyone visiting Rome.

The perfect informal place if you're really hungry🤩
We tried our Roman-style pasta dish for the first time and were served a spectacular "cofana di pasta"

We went on a Saturday evening to celebrate a birthday. Despite the short notice, they reserved a table for us and granted our request to store and serve the cake we had brought. All the waiters were very kind, and the owner was always very attentive.

Meo Pinelli is a geographical coordinate of the soul for anyone who has inhabited the sidewalks of Piazza di Cinecittà. However, the question of its current nature is legitimate: are we faced with an institution preserving its lineage or a mechanism now rotating by centrifugal force alone? The aesthetic remains true to itself, a bastion of brass and wood that resists the sterile minimalism of modernity. Entering Meo Pinelli is like leafing through an anthology of Roman customs. It is the place where neighborhood political negotiations meet the contemplative pause of the retiree and the ambition of the young professional. In this sense, its function as a high-class salon remains intact: it is a space possessing the rare gift of "permanence." The risk of a "tired mechanism," however, emerges in the details. When a restaurant becomes iconic, it often falls into the sin of indolence: sometimes you sense the cynical detachment of those who know the table will fill up regardless, regardless of the smile, while the food, however excellent, seems stuck in a canon they no longer dare, like an actor reciting the same monologue for decades with an impeccable memory but a heart elsewhere. Meo Pinelli is today a living monument. It certainly thrives on a golden inertia, but it's a necessary inertia in a city that devours its own spaces too quickly. It's not a broken mechanism, but rather a clock that marks a different time, slower and perhaps less brilliant than before. It remains the local drawing room, but with the fine dust of those who have stopped looking in the mirror to ask themselves if they are still the most beautiful in the land. You return not for the surprise, but for the confirmation that you are still at home. And in an age of aesthetic precariousness, perhaps this is enough for it to survive its own weariness.
