I raised the stars for the excellent Plant-Based Whopper vegan sandwich. What can a vegan do at McDonald's? Eat a salad and a bottle of mineral water. Really, the salad was beautifully presented, even if it was in the sad plastic, and if it weren't for the double dressing I added and paid for, it wouldn't taste like anything. One note: I had tried the vegetarian sandwich at another McDonald's but didn't like it. The staff was very kind and helpful, but they always try (obviously over-ordering) to add something, making it seem cheaper. The fact is, what do you offer a vegan? Gone are the "good old days" when you could ask for a sauce or two and they'd give you one; today, 10 cents here, half a euro there, a euro for a fried egg in an already overflowing sandwich. The place is clean and well-kept, with a children's area and birthday parties—a great invention that prevents hordes of young Barbarians from invading your home. What can I say, they sell what our brain loves: Sweet, Salty and Fatty.

Family Restaurant

27/12/2025: We ate there for Christmas lunch, the service was impeccable and the food was excellent. I highly recommend it.
21/09/2025: What a find! We absolutely loved our meal at Family Restaurant. We went for the full tasting menu, such good value at 37 euro for 6 courses plus a bonus amuse bouche course. Everything was so delicious and beautifully presented. We have been debating today which was our favourite course- a hard decision as it was all wonderful. But for me I think it is a toss up between the prawn starter and the simple but fabulous tomato spaghetti. We had some delicious wines to wash it all down. Service was really friendly and personal. Unusual décor made for a wonderful ambience. We came to Boves by accident, booking a last minute room to break up a long journey, but now we will almost certainly return just so we can come to this restaurant again!

05/05/2026: Excellent experience in Carrù at the Palazzo di Mezzo hotel and restaurant, in a great location. Spacious room with excellent ensuite bathroom. Comfortable bed, no noise. Thanks to the room facing the interior, breakfast was served at reasonable times. Helpful and friendly staff. Very quiet during the May Day long weekend. The location is about 35 km from Cuneo and 80 km from Turin. Nearby is a park with a large bench.
