Mattarella In Giovinazzo

The place is very welcoming, clean, the staff are friendly, and the service is fast. A pleasant place to spend a quiet evening, but... Tagliolini with scampi had something special about it, a not-so-pleasant flavor, definitely due to the fish not being particularly fresh. It didn't smell good or taste good. The roasted octopus was good but tough. The baked potatoes were good. The sorbet was unimaginable, basically just ice chips. It's definitely a good place for pizza (though I haven't tried it), but otherwise, it's not up to par.

The pizza was very tasty, with vegetarian options available. The service was very friendly, and the restaurant's appearance was tasteful. Everything was great. The pizza prices were high.

We had pizza there once and sea bream once. Both were delicious and nicely prepared. The owner speaks German quite well. The overall atmosphere is very pleasant.

My wife and I, strolling through the spectacular historic center of Giovinazzo, noticed a pizzeria advertising its light dough in its windows. We decided to stop. We were immediately greeted with kindness and courtesy, and decided to sit outside. As soon as we were ready, the waitress took our order. We were immediately brought drinks and were also offered delicious local tarallini. We chose two gourmet pizzas with untraditional combinations. One with capocollo di Martina Franca, hazelnuts, and honey; the other with radicchio, crispy bacon, bean cream, beans, and sweet CHUPETINHO chili peppers (which I hadn't heard of). Despite having dared to try unusual combinations, we were delighted by the quality of the ingredients and the creativity of the pizza chef. Even though we had eaten the entire pizza, the confirmed lightness of the pizzas gave us the opportunity to also try the dessert recommended: filo pastry canoli filled with whipped ricotta... a delight. To finish, a truly delicious coffee. Truly everything was perfect! Even the bill, which was almost too low considering the excellence, was only €47. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Sometimes the reviews tell something outside the quality of the food. 3.9 sorry it is much better. Pizza was excellent, the atmosphere and the service very good. And what about the wine, so good. Come without fear, it is a very good place. Vivino 4.1 note for this wonderful primitivo

Sitting down without much information about the place, we ordered a mixed fried fish platter: dried calamari, and the rest of the fish was beautifully presented. (The fried fish is listed on the menu for €18 and charged €20 at the counter. We pointed this out, and the lady told us the paper menu hadn't been updated... and it's September.) Orecchiette, creamed yellow date soup, guanciale, mozzarella, and basil: Nothing special, the guanciale was very dry and hard to chew (and I have all my teeth). I'm sorry, but I didn't like it.
