Mater Vini In Cosenza

A lovely little place in the center of Cosenza. The ingredients are excellent, and the service is warm and friendly. I had their antipasto, which includes both hot and cold dishes. Everything was delicious. I really enjoyed the service; the hostess accommodated our requests, always kind and helpful. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a quiet, friendly hour.

My sweetheart and I discovered this place by chance, and from that moment on, it became a true destination. The first time we chose a tasting menu of meat dishes accompanied by a white wine, "Il Bianco dei Vespa," which remains our favorite white wine to this day. We also met the owners there, wonderful people who immediately made us feel at ease. The memory was so positive that I decided to celebrate my graduation there as well. Since then, we've returned every time for a meal or even just a drink: it's now like home for us. My sweetheart is celiac, and we've never had any problems. In fact, if you let us know in advance, they're always happy to prepare special dishes, with great attention to detail. It's the perfect place when you want to relax, spend time with a few people, and enjoy a quiet evening with good food, excellent wine, and a chat. One of those places that stays in your memory and you'll always want to return!

I was there on Monday evening and it was a wonderful surprise to find such a place in the heart of the city. Small and welcoming, with professional yet warm owners who made you feel immediately at ease. The dishes were unique, enhanced by the excellent pairing with a red from Cantina Tollo 1960 that they recommended. What can I say... I can't wait to go back! 😎"
