Mastrogusto In Roma

Located around the corner from my Condo, this place is a hidden gem. While the prices are economical, the food quality is not sacrificed. I have eaten there about 7 times in the last 2 weeks and the food and customer service has been exceptional each time. This is one place that I will recommend to anyone coming to Rome.

Small shop with fresh paninis for around €3. Highly recommended.

We appreciated the quality of the sandwiches and the kindness of one of the staff (the young lady). However, the other one is not friendly at all, keeping a cold face even having seen we came in. No hello, no smile, but just a glance at us even though we said hello first to him. Thanks god the lady came out to serve us. We took some time (but less than 3 minutes) to explain the choices of the sandwiches to our parents and decided what to order (they are aged and don’t speak English). Your employee stood beside the lady and might have become impatient because we saw he rolled his eyes. I have seen some reviews that have mentioned the kindness of your staff. I doubt if people are treated differently here by this employee, according to the language they speak? Face? Nation?

The location looks very cute, a shop we're almost unaccustomed to anymore, and unfortunately, I might add. There are only a few tables, as it's mostly a quick snack or takeout option. Delicious sandwiches! Their porchetta sandwich is really well-made! Plus, they look small, but they're perfect! Excellent value for money!

Sandwiches of various types, very filling, excellent quality at truly spectacular prices, compliments, a truly economical place considering it is in the center of Rome, highly recommended
