An incredible place to eat after a stormy day in Trieste. The ambiance of the candlelight, the delicious food and beer, and the smooth tunes Tom Waits and Nick Cave warm the body and soul.

As a Scotsman, you can't imagine my utter joy finding an Italian bar in Trieste with such affection for Scotland. I never thought I'd be eating haggis in Italy?!!?!??! A place with a whisky selection to die for, a wonderful selection of quality beers with a service and atmosphere to match. One of Trieste's real gems. Highly recommended

This place totally won me over, we were seated at perhaps the best table in the place, in a niche in front of the counter, it seems small (but there is a room behind it too) but it is very welcoming, the food is divine and the drinks are even better, especially if you take advice from the fantastic, friendly and helpful staff... If I lived in Trieste, I would take up residence here!!! Cheers!

Great place. Very knowledgeable & friendly bartender. He single-handedly ensures that there is an atmosphere in this place and tasty beers are available.
Chimay in particular is readily available here. Not very cheap, by the way.

I went to this super nice pub for the first time with friends. I ate very well and the owner who served us was very kind, friendly and professional without being intrusive in the slightest. I took a cheese burger but the meat (for my personal taste) was too heavy and overcooked but the owner was really kind to tell me that next time if I want to let him know to maybe cook it less. What can I say... I highly recommend!

Scopriamo per caso questa birreria triestina il cui proprietario non solo e' gentilissimo e una persona veramente a modo come poche ne sono rimaste, ma e'anche un ottimo padrone di casa con il quale abbiamo chiacchierato di musica e cultura birraria. Birre alla spina ottime e cibo di qualità per prezzi assolutamente giusti.
