Everyone feels like a black belt when it comes to aperitifs these days. In Varese, I even saw a place where they served oysters for aperitifs, a typical lake product, obviously. Anyway, if you're interested, I didn't get Botox. As we were saying, everyone claims to be good at aperitifs, and we all know they try way too hard, to the point of sometimes being grotesque. Here, however, there's a sense of calm that blends well with the place, which feels very much like a place outside of the city center, but not like the gas station in Texas Texas Chainsaw Massacre (*), but more like a place where you can easily relax. And aperitifs, despite all the post-'90s hipness that would have you believe otherwise, are just that: relaxation and conversation. Here, you get both, plus the products are good and the appetizers aren't over the top, but they still work well. Highly recommended. (*) one day history will present the bill to those who change the titles of horror films with ridiculous names.

The place is very nice, clean, and bright, just like the smiles the girls who work there give you. The food is pretty good, and it's an ideal place to start the morning with a good breakfast and have a lunch break. I recommend it. L.
