Evening aperitif in Parma's historic center at this venue, which also offers outdoor seating. Service is rather slow, the cocktails are passable but nothing special, and the aperitif is served with a measly bowl of chips and two mini bruschettas. Definitely not a place I'd recommend for an aperitif.

We came here by chance, inspired by the lovely evening and the crowd that filled the place. The waiters were all kind, the service was fast, and the beer was excellent. Inside, the place doesn’t have AC, but it was pleasant enough to sit outside. Unfortunately, though, it wasn’t the best experience with the owner. He kept making inappropriate comments about every woman and treated his staff quite badly. The short-haired girl bartender was incredibly fast and multitasking like a pro, and the long haired guy was really friendly and easygoing. Great job, guys!

Fast, kind and polite staff, even though it was Saturday night and the place was crowded, they brought us all the orders in an adequate time, good sandwiches and well-drafted beer

Fantastic bar, lovely staff, atmosphere. Great place to watch games. However, there is no need to bring your own beer. They do sell it here. 😁

Il mastiff è sempre una certezza. Un posto accogliente pieno di persone di cuore, cibo fantastico e bevande strepitose. L’accoglienza dello staff è sempre caloroso e non c’è nessun altro pub a paragone in Parma.

26/04/2025: La gelateria Calypso è una di quelle gemme nascoste che ti sorprendono al primo assaggio. Qui non si trovano solo i classici gusti, ma vere e proprie creazioni originali che riescono a conquistare anche i palati più curiosi. Dai sapori più particolari come “Fior di sale e caramello” o “Ricotta e fichi” fino a combinazioni più audaci, ogni gusto è una scoperta. Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è davvero imbattibile: con soli 2,5€ ti porti a casa una coppetta o un cono ricco di gusto e cremosità. Le porzioni sono generose e gli ingredienti freschi si sentono ad ogni cucchiaino. L’atmosfera è accogliente e il personale sempre disponibile a consigliare il gusto perfetto per te. Se sei alla ricerca di qualcosa di diverso dalla solita gelateria, Calypso è sicuramente una tappa obbligatoria. 🍨

28/07/2025: La Cucina del Maestro is a true celebration of Parma’s culinary tradition. The menu is filled with local classics made using exceptional ingredients — from prosciutto di Parma to beautifully aged Parmigiano Reggiano. The absolute highlight of the meal was the anolini in capon broth. Rich, hearty, and deeply flavorful, it felt like the essence of Parma in a bowl — comforting and expertly prepared. We also tried the tortelli verdi with spalla di San Secondo, which were delicious, with a perfect balance of richness and freshness. The ambiance is warm and rustic, and while the service was a little slow, it was still friendly and attentive. Overall, a fantastic experience and a place I’d gladly return to for another bowl of those unforgettable anolini.
