16/07/2025: Just a stone's throw from the Borgotaro highway exit, tucked atop a promontory, Osteria La Baccana is happily immersed in a lush green landscape, calm and joyfully nostalgic, even before you sit down to eat. A place that will leave you speechless, both for the unique view and the food.
It's a must-see when traveling in the area.
Family-run, with no written menu or set menu, it offers typical local cuisine, including torta fritta (fried cake), cured meats, and cheeses. A special thanks to the lady, waitress, cashier, and probably owner, and, of course, to the chef. One of those places you search for but can't find, whose strength lies in the passion and dedication to this profession, which are evident in every bite.
The value for money is beyond question, incredible, we had a wonderful time, it's definitely on our list of favorites.

11/07/2025: Fantastic place with incredibly good food! We had antipasto, some different pasta dishes, roast beef and tiramisu and shared many dishes. We ordered 2 antipasto for four people and it was just right for us. Then four different pasta dishes. Then a tiramisu that the two of us shared. With the antipasto we also got a very good bread that looked like little pillows. All the dishes tasted very homemade and I can highly recommend this place. We were passing through and were going from the coast to Lake Garda and had lunch here on the way. Completely peaceful and quiet and what a view!!! I love when you find places like this.
The prices were very good (between 12-14 per dish for our dishes) and it was easy to pay by card. We hadn't made a reservation, it was easy to just show up. The last road up there by car is very narrow but charming on a winding road. They don't have a fixed printed menu (and don't speak much English) but we were still able to understand what they offered and were able to order everything without any problems. When we arrived there were quite a few guests but since they "close" at 2:00 PM (which I interpret as meaning that you should preferably not come after two but that it is fine to sit and eat and order if you arrive before 2:00 PM) and we left just after three, it was empty when we left. Then they open again in the evening.
