Typical local food; we found everything very good. Attentive and helpful staff. Good prices. Excellent wine list.

This family-run trattoria is located just outside Pilastro, heading towards Torrechiara Castle. It's not very visible from the road. There are about twenty tables spread across two floors, and the atmosphere is quiet. During the warmer months, a spacious marquee is also used in the garden, but it's a bit more anonymous and noisy. The wait staff is very friendly, and the service is quick. The cuisine offers good-quality, innovative local dishes: among the first courses, tagliolini with Parma ham and potato gnocchi with salami paste are truly delicious. The second courses, especially the Pilastro wheel and the golden duck, are particularly noteworthy. Good value for money. A small tip: the presentation of the dishes on the website is too reminiscent of tourist-oriented menus and doesn't reflect the quality offered.

Delicious food, friendly waiters and a warm atmosphere. We were in the area on a visit to the Parma ham factory Casa Graziano (highly recommended!!) and they suggested Masticabrodo for a nice evening meal. Did not disappoint!

The food was good and the cappelletti broth was tasteless, the desserts could be improved, the tiramisu was watered down, the tartlet was very hard.

Well... I'd say nothing special.

I'm talking about what I tasted: the cured meats and giardiniera were TOP! The herb tortelli were perfect, including the sauce. The desserts were truly authentic and delicious. Congratulations, I'll definitely be back.

In my opinion, the old management was definitely better.
