Entering this restaurant is like crossing the threshold of your grandmother's house, the one that welcomes you with the scent of sauce that has been simmering for hours, warm bread fresh from the oven and a smile that makes you feel at home right away. Here you won't find starred chefs, but something much more precious: grandmothers. With hands marked by time and hearts full of love, they cook as only they know how: with passion, patience and wisdom passed down through the generations.
Every dish is a journey into memories: those of Sundays with the family, and the desserts... oh, the desserts! They take you back to when as children we used to compete to see who could lick the bowl of cream. It's not just about eating well - here you live an authentic experience, made of real flavors, sincere smiles and an atmosphere that warms the heart.
The service is warm and genuine, like the one you would receive at a loving aunt's house, and the rustic but detailed environment adds that touch of magic that makes everything perfect.

We traveled along the via dei brentatori (from Bologna to Bazzano about 50 km) and stopped in Gesso, a stone's throw from Zola Predosa. We had dinner in this characteristic place, on the recommendation of the owner of the B&B Gesso 117, where we slept, about 250 meters away. Excellent quality of the homemade pasta (ravioli with butter and sage), mutton, scallops with mushrooms, grilled vegetables, crescents of which we have asked for an encore, delicious, not at all greasy (in some places they drip oil, but here they are special). Delicious homemade desserts, water, Lambrusco wine and myrtle liqueur. Fair price for what we ate, not at all expensive. Ended the evening by playing a game of table football which was outside under the porch.
