Marzapane In Roma

Lovely restaurant with chic interiors just off the Piazza del Popolo. Visited as a tourist visiting Rome after being recommended Marzapane by a friend and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Great wine list, attentive service, and dishes with a very welcome modern spin on some Roman classics. This style of cuisine is exactly what you need after a few days of stuffing yourself silly with porchetta and the cooking at your typical Roman trattorias! Delicious food served up without fuss. And being walking distance from the Piazza del Popolo, there’s plenty to do and see after dinner too.

Excellent breakfast, too bad the terrace wasn't accessible. We recommend the pancakes!

Found by chance, during opening hours, a factor that did not negatively affect the warm welcome I received right away. I felt at home, impeccable service and kindness, not to mention the goodness of their menu that offers a wide choice of delicacies, but above all the smile of the staff. I recommend and approve

I’m used to eat at brunch caffeterias and this place, so far had the worst Eggs Benedict I ever had - no flavour at all and holand sauce was not good.

I came for breakfast on a Saturday morning. When I arrived, the tables for 2 were all occupied, so I was offered to sit at the social tablet. Why not, I like the idea. I order a yogurt with granola and a coffee. While I wait, I start reading a book, and it's nice to read in this room with large windows that let in a lot of light that expands thanks to the large mirror that acts as a blackboard. My order arrives after about twenty minutes, but that's okay, I'm not in a hurry, on the contrary, I want to enjoy the moment. The granola is very well presented, the portion is right, but certainly not generous, and very good. The coffee is interesting, fragrant, very intense. Too bad that 30 seconds after finishing my coffee, I was brought the bill, without having asked for it. I would like to go back to reading the 15 lines that separate me from the end of the chapter, but as soon as I pick up the book, I am told that I should leave immediately. No more than 10 minutes had passed since my drink had arrived. I understand that it's Saturday morning, I understand that I'm not the only one, but my intention wasn't to stay for hours, but only to read 15 lines. I really believe that the price you ask for breakfast in a place like this should also include the right amount of time to calmly enjoy a breakfast. For the sake of completeness, I'll say that they took the €2 for water off my bill to try to make up for my disappointment, but I really would have preferred to pay them and have 5 more minutes. Too bad

Service a bit slow. Unique leavened products, with a wide selection. We will definitely be back again to try them all!

The place has an internal room and a very nice rooftop where I ate a delicious brioche, puffed with French butter using an exceptional technique! You can also have brunch and the dishes I saw were really inviting. Highly recommended!

Il posto è carino e il cibo di qualità, ma la scelta è molto limitata e soprattutto focalizzata su portate tipo omlette, uova strapazzate e hamburger. Limitata anche la scelta dei dolci.

Caffè specialty, bakery di qualità e menu da moderno bistrot. In più lo location che vince a mani basse. Terrazza rilassante e piano intermedio molto molto carino. Buono l’hamburger, i toast, le uova ma i piatti alla terrazza purtroppo arrivano freddi. Una pecca che fa il paio con la troppa velocità con cui i ragazzi “sparecchiano” per far posto ad altre prenotazioni… anche no.
