Ristorante Marisa in Cislago is a fantastic place! They serve Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, with vegetarian options. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the price is reasonable, around €30-40 per person. We had dinner at this restaurant we'd heard about often. The villa where it's located is truly beautiful and the ambiance elegant. It's a shame about the tablecloth and paper napkins. The menu is announced verbally, so it wasn't possible to choose at your leisure or even see the prices of the dishes. Even the wine...there wasn't a list, just a short one from the waitress. The wine was served too cold, being a red wine. The service was quick but a bit too pushy and insistent because we didn't order the main courses. I had a dish that I consider unique: polenta with donkey stew. It was good, but the portion was small, maybe 6-7 small pieces of meat and a spoonful of polenta...not noisy, great for chatting. But I expected more.

If you want to spend a magical moment tasting game and excellent porcini mushroom risotto, sit at Marisa's table, her historic staff and this says it all, with passion and kindness they will know how to delight you and serve you with love. Very good

09/11/2025: Alessandra served me an excellent ice cream, she was very kind, professional and careful to the customer's needs. The only thing I noticed while sitting on the benches in front of the store to enjoy my ice cream were the other two young colleagues playing with chocolates. In my opinion not professional at all.

Rifugio Campiglio

12/10/2025: A refuge above Luino, beneath Mount Lema, with an exceptional panoramic view. The refuge offers simple, home-style, local cuisine. Prices aren't cheap, but it's important to keep this place open, as it's mostly open on weekends. A suggestion: a few lounge chairs to enjoy while relaxing.
12/10/2025: Huge plate of pizzoccheri and plate of land snails with polenta!!!
