I feel compelled to write this review on behalf of all celiacs and in the hope that the restaurant will train its staff in the ABCs of GLUTEN-FREE dining, as well as good manners. What happened on Saturday, July 18, 2026, is unforgivable, and the 3 stars are merely encouraging: customers, even those with celiac disease, are still customers and shouldn't be constantly on edge or frightened by what they're being served. It's the owner and his staff's duty to ensure this peace of mind. That wasn't the case. If I hadn't been careful, my sister and I would have been literally POISON. It's necessary to explain step by step what we experienced. When the waiter with a PDA came to our table to take our order, my first question was whether they had gluten-free fried food. He didn't know the answer, so he went to the kitchen to ask. When he returned, he told me they couldn't make it. I asked if they had gluten-free puccia, to which he replied that they didn't. So I ordered burger #2 and burger #3 (which included fries), repeatedly insisting that the entire dish was gluten-free. After more than an hour of waiting, which I can forgive since it was Saturday, two sandwiches arrived. When I asked the waitress who brought the dishes if they were gluten-free, she was unprepared and went to the kitchen to ask. The same waiter who had taken my order with the same sandwiches returned, insistently claiming that I had made a mistake and that I had only ordered the gluten-free fries and not the entire dish. What truly astounded me was his refusal to apologize, his opposition to me rather than solving the problem, and, above all, his incompetence in not knowing—neither he nor the other waitress—that the bread contains gluten. As a result, I was forced to speak to the owner, who tried to remedy the situation by having us re-order the dishes. Again, the dishes arrived incorrectly, as they brought two identical burgers instead of the two different ones I'd ordered, but fortunately without the buns. The person serving the dishes didn't apologize for the incident, nor did any other waiter show up nearby, preventing us from asking for anything, like mayonnaise or ketchup. Finally, when paying at the register, no one was notified of the inconvenience: sandwiches we'd never actually ordered or eaten had been added to the bill. Again, the owner had to intervene. I don't feel like blaming the waiters exclusively: if the staff is so incompetent and rude, it's because they aren't being adequately supervised.
