A few days ago I found myself walking past the MARE NOSTRUM Seafood restaurant in Rome, and finding myself in difficulty I instinctively entered, and luckily I was welcomed by Giastin, a true angel of kindness and understanding, I thank him so much, and this is already the prerequisite for entering the restaurant with confidence. Here where the sea sparkles, and the wind blows strong... I really enjoyed the taste of the sea this evening at dinner, fresh, innovative, a delight the roasted octopus on pea cream, a lime marinated tuna tartare with Greek sauce and toasted almonds that explodes in your mouth like a storm, the simplicity that amazes you! Perfect cooking, land and sea shrimp in kataifi pastry, avocado mouse and red turnip powder, combination of original and well-executed flavors. Highly recommended. And thanks guys, great job.

I ate at this restaurant for dinner, with the promotional menu at 35 euros. All the courses were delicious, especially the appetizers and main courses! The cannoli was sensational, with homemade ricotta and flavored with orange. The waiter, Marco, was very kind and friendly! I will definitely be back!

This restaurant presents itself as a refined seafood establishment, yet several aspects detract from the dining experience. The staff's habit of smoking at the entrance is unprofessional and off-putting for non-smoking patrons. Despite being the sole customers, service was inexplicably slow, leading to a prolonged wait for our meals. The dishes did not justify their premium pricing. The Vassilissa's Tartare lacked flavor, the Mediterranean Sea Carpaccio was overly salted with only a few translucent slices, and the tortelloni portion was insufficient. The spaghetti with clams and truffle was devoid of truffle essence, resulting in an unbalanced flavor profile. The restaurant's atmosphere is underwhelming, featuring plastic, unstable tables and a lack of coziness. While some patrons have praised the restaurant, our experience was marred by unprofessional conduct, slow service, subpar food quality, and an uninviting atmosphere. These factors collectively fail to meet the expectations set by the restaurant's reputation and pricing.

For the second time we come to this restaurant for lunch. The previous time we had an aperitif. We book at short notice and are reserved a table outside. Professionalism, availability and great collaboration from the waiter. Very pleasant atmosphere and extremely welcoming service. Fish-based courses and dishes that literally thrilled us. Place located in the Trastevere area, very central, which offers quality dishes at non-prohibitive prices. Highly recommended... even for those with small children in tow!

Already eaten at this place!! I repeat last time's review. Very good starters and first courses (traditional Sicilian and beyond). A good choice of wines...maybe last time, April 11th, I found the starters quite scaled down compared to the price. But overall everything was excellent.
