Marcandole In Salgareda

This restaurant is currently undergoing renovations and is famous for its seafood 🐟. You can taste the fresh fish, and I applaud them for serving the scallops and scallops plain, without the gratin. The waiters and owner were kind and courteous. We served the wine ourselves, except for the first glass. I don't know if it was the Ferragosto holiday or if that's the norm. We would have preferred less sauce, like in dishes from a few years ago. Stale baguette, inedible!!! Paccheri from the Mancini pasta factory. Good selection of wines, including organic French ones. We had an excellent Chablis. Compared to the past, the dining room was very crowded and quite noisy. Convenient on-site parking 🅿️ Updating the review as of 12/8/25. After the renovation, the menu has improved, now high-quality and light, and the service is attentive and professional. 👍 The modern, rustic renovation is welcoming and bright, and the wine display at the entrance is also beautiful.

Confirmation. It was a beautiful celebration, excellent food with fresh fish, from appetizers to fried fish. The service was worthy of a restaurant. Superb preparation. I definitely recommend it. We'll be back.

I went there for my mum 60th birthday to have a good experience but was very disappointed as the reputation don’t match the standards. They put out prosecco bottle on the table and after 10 min we had to ask for an ice bucket. The menu was a basic menu that you can find in any restaurant. Didn’t feel any wow sensation eating the food. I asked an other glass of wine and the waiter asked me which one so I said to him I didn’t remember the name, sorry but in a high lever restaurant they are not even supposed to ask but check on the order. Then 2 different waiter put the prosecco in my white wine as all the glasses were the same, sorry but that’s a big mistake in hospitality. We were disappointed about the presentation and taste of the food to be honest

Let's just say I give a passing grade for the ambience, which is very pleasant and well-designed, and the service. But the food, in my humble opinion, isn't up to par: too many dishes are either bland or downright poorly conceived, with one exception (the lobster and summer truffle risotto, which was truly delicious). For the price, I definitely expect more.
