We found this restaurant for lunch during a day in Assisi. Very close to the Temple of Minerva (an excellent location), we luckily found a table without a reservation (though I recommend it during peak hours to avoid disappointment). Truly excellent food, with a wide selection of appetizers, first courses, and second courses (both meat and seafood), as well as a varied selection of pizzas. I personally recommend the Tozzetti di San Francesco, spectacular! The service was attentive and precise, although the wait was perhaps a bit long. It's still a lovely find in the heart of the city. One last positive note: the menu clearly lists allergens, which is not a given.

This is the best place to eat in Assisi. They prepare the dishes quickly and the quality of the food is great! Delicious! Good choice between all kinds of food: meat, pasta, sea food or pizza. Try it and you will not regret.

I ordered a lamb chop for €20, a salad for €10, a spinach dish for €6, and a pot of tea (I don't know the price). The staff asked, "Are you sure you want all of this?" I immediately understood what they meant. The food was truly excellent value for money, very fresh, and cooked to perfection. It was the best value meal I had in Italy. Extremely satisfied!

A restaurant I stopped by for lunch during my trip to Assisi. Friendly service, fast service, and reasonably priced menu. Highly recommended! ^^!! I ate so much I almost finished it, here's a picture of it, lol

My wife (MDW) and I just finished another delightful meal at Mangiar di Vino. I ordered an entrée off the menu but MDW requested a entrée that was not on the menu . Our server was not sure that they could accommodate her request but took it to the kitchen. We both got the delicious entrees exactly as requested. My only recommendation is that the Red Wine should be served at CELLAR temperature, not room temperature.

09/03/2026: Campers discovering the culinary delights of Italy, hailing from the Tuscia region and wandering through the isolated hills and marvelous castles of the Todi region, near Todi, we stumbled upon a remote village of four souls, Izzalini. As we sat at our table, we were immediately greeted with a small welcome aperitif, followed shortly by an appetizer of lard on toasted bread and onion parmigiana! We were already ecstatic! When the first courses arrived, I couldn't believe it! A Deruta ceramic plate so large that not even my grandmother had one! Piled high with white hare ragù with handmade tagliatelle! My wife had tagliatelle with deer ragù. At that point, we mustered up our courage and grabbed our forks; we ate until we could stomach it! Unfortunately, I don't have any concrete documentation of what happened, but I can assure you it's not a place for the faint of heart! Be careful who enters, because the culinary experience here will infect you and drive your palate crazy, and you won't sleep at night, because the only thought that will cross your mind is coming back here! At Kairos...
25/02/2026: I was there visiting with friends in the area, it deserves 5 stars, the only flaw is that it's a bit far from Rome
