Mandracchio Bistrot In Grado

A wonderful little bistro at the old port of Grado. Good fish dishes, à la carte and daily specials. A large wine selection and good value for money. A lovely, sophisticated atmosphere, presumably run by the owner herself. She seemed a little reserved at first, but after a short time became very pleasant, professional, and friendly. We ate dinner there twice because we enjoyed it so much, especially the food. Very popular with German-speaking guests.

Food was exceptionally good, and really good price value. Waiters are friendly but dont really speak english, although you can make yourself understand easily.

Recommended by the receptionist at the hotel where we're staying, it was a real surprise. In touristy areas, finding a place where you can enjoy good food at a fair price is generally a difficult task. It's a small but charming place facing the harbor. The staff are very friendly and professional. We had fried sardines, seafood spaghetti, a pumpkin cream with fried shrimp and crispy bacon, and to finish, a dessert, a mille-feuille with wild berries and Chantilly cream. All dishes were expertly presented. The food was high-quality, fresh, well-cooked, and delicious. Overall, we had a great time despite the tables being very close together. Highly recommended. Delicious, perfectly prepared fish and seafood dishes, with local specialties and an excellent selection of regional wines. If the staff were a bit more helpful in German or English, this place would be perfect.

The best in Grado out of the four we tried. I recommend the one a local from Grado recommended to me: don't look at the menu they present to you if you like what's written on the blackboard. We didn't regret it!

Behind the family-friendly exterior lies one of the best seafood restaurants I've ever encountered. The service is prompt and impeccable, the food expertly prepared with the finest local ingredients (primarily Adriatic fish), focusing on variety and authenticity, and a simplicity of preparation that preserves all the flavor, yet not without a modern visual touch in the presentation and plating. A true temple of gastronomic quality, where I also found the friendliness and expertise of the lady who runs it, along with her kitchen and dining room staff. The excellent wine selection also adds to the excellence. The prices are absolutely average. A round of applause!
