A truly appreciated location; we ate at a table overlooking the salt flats, which created a truly evocative atmosphere. The service was impeccable. The food, in terms of flavor, was good and beautifully presented. Unfortunately, however, we must report a very negative aspect: after eating the fish dishes, two out of three people felt ill. This incident inevitably ruined the overall experience. A real shame, because the setting and service deserve much better.

While travelling sight seen valley of seasides, you can find this awesome place. I was pretty surprised when you met so friendly manager and smiley people, within you can meet here great food, with all Italian traditions and something more interesting. By the way — coffee was delicious and sea view gives power to travel further, and fall in love with Sicily.

We came here for a charming aperitivo. We wanted to arrive in time for sunset, but then "Elisa Elisa" fell asleep in the car, and to avoid spoiling her need for a restorative nap, we waited in the parking lot for her to come to. Nevertheless, the aperitivo took place with a stunning view. The CEO of "Mariano & Figli" even joined us. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Even the children enjoyed the magic of the place. The owner, a rare kindness, showed me the photos of his ancestor displayed upstairs. Those who come here enjoy exquisite cocktails, a unique view, and a photography exhibition documenting these places in the early 1900s.

Even at night the location was beautiful as the windmills were lit up. The restaurant had lovely Christmas decorations, lit up outside. Staff were outside, we asked if they were open for food as it was advertised online. They said OK but I did feel as though it wasn't. Inside service was good. The food was delicious, I had the mushroom risotto which had lovely flavours. My partner had the white rabbit pasta and he said it was delicious. We both had a cocktail which were good. We were the only diners at 7.30pm until as we were leaving another family came in to eat. Overall delicious food.

You don't come to this magical place simply for an aperitif at sunset, but to immerse yourself in the wonderful atmosphere of colors and images that Mamma Caura offers, sitting at a table overlooking the Stagnone and the surrounding panorama. A romantic place... delicious aperitifs and snacks.

We personally didn't have the chance to stop by for the traditional sunset aperitivo, which from what we saw online was fantastic. Instead, we opted for a refreshment while we waited for the boat to depart for the tour of the Stagnone lagoon and the island of Mozia. The location is fantastic, with a view of the salt pans and windmills. Prices are average, and the staff is very friendly. We'll definitely be back for sunset in the future.

13/09/2025: Very comfortable atmosphere both summer and winter, excellent service, and excellent pizza, especially the Villa Paola. It's a shame they don't have draft beer. Ample parking.
26/08/2025: The place is really cute; in the summer, tables are set up outside in a quaint courtyard, surrounded by greenery and lit by pretty strings of fairy lights. It's a real shame about the waitress's "welcome"; as soon as we were seated, she asked us all to choose the same dish "because we only have four burners." When I replied, citing our different needs (one person is vegetarian and the other doesn't eat fish), she replied with an annoyed expression, "Do as you wish, I warned you. Don't complain if you eat separately afterwards."... is this a restaurant or not? 🤣 We ordered two grilled fish and two identical first courses anyway, to make things easier for the kitchen; the other diners chose two other first courses (including vegetarian busiate pasta with basil cream) and a grilled meat. The other waiters were kind and professional, and the wait for our dishes wasn't long. The first courses are good and tasty, the grilled fish is lightly seared (the squid and shrimp are almost raw, so if you don't like it, let us know in advance). The prices are a bit high compared to the local average.

23/01/2026: An ideal location for a coffee break and/or lunch (even for work), the customer service and welcome could be improved, as could the background noise during particularly busy periods, with horizontal and/or vertical sound barriers. Good value for money.
01/01/2026: The food for takeout was excellent, from appetizers to dessert, everything was really good. I highly recommend it.
