The place is very beautiful but the farmhouse is crowded with too many people and the service is obviously not adequate but I don't think we can do better. Absolutely necessary to book. Excellent paths to get there from Lake Misurina

I was on Friday 1st November.. beautiful mountain hut in a magnificent setting.. not too demanding walk.. we arrived around 12.30.. full mountain hut and does not accept reservations for lunch.. we left our name and sat at the table towards 1pm 8pm..friendly staff..perhaps a little disorganized due to the many people who were there that day..so there's no need to rush...excellent cold cuts and cheese platter..canederli I've tried better ones...adequate bill ...reference point to reach other refuges..in the afternoon I went up to the city of Carpi..worth a visit..

There is only the name of the mountain hut because in truth it is a real restaurant.
Being immersed in a wonderful landscape context, being reachable by an easy walk or even by any car, the place is practically always invaded by mass tourism with consequent queues to eat and loss of the beauty of the place due to crowding; for these reasons I recommend it exclusively in periods of low tourism.
The quality of the food is average, while the helpfulness of the staff is excellent.

To get there there are multiple solutions with truly rewarding treks and in the summer it is also possible to go up there by car (pay attention to us hikers).
Malga Maraia closes on November 2, 2024 and the foliage in the woods is almost ready...

We had lunch at Malga Maraia, location, service and food were all excellent. We didn't take photos because honestly we pulverized everything that was brought to us. Lovely place, definitely worth the turn.

Ho avuto la fortuna di pranzare in questa oasi di pace.
La malga si trova immersa nel bosco con una vista mozzafiato sulle Dolomiti.
L'ambiente è caldo e accogliente.
Il personale e i titolari sono gentilissimi e molto affabili.
La cucina varia, gustosa e con materie prime locali e di primissima qualità.
Il prezzo davvero onesto per la qualità offerta e la location.

Dovevamo raggiungere Malga Maraia a piedi, seguendo il sentiero che parte vicino ad Auronzo, ma la giornata di pioggia non c’è l’ha permesso, così ci siamo arrivati in macchina.
Pranzo delizioso a dir poco!
Antipasto di affettati e formaggi eccellenti!
I primi piatti ottimi ed il piatto “Padellino” davvero eccezionale!
Tiramisù alle fragole e crostata da capogiro!!
Bravissimi davvero al gestore ed alle ragazze che servono ai tavoli: gentilissimi, ospitali ed anche pazienti con i nostri bimbi!
Da tornare assolutamente, magari con una giornata di sole per godere appieno del panorama!!!
