This was the best Rifugio we stayed at during our Alta Via Hike. It is technically little off the route, but is definitely worth the detour. The room was spacious, compared to many others we experienced. Since they can accomodate only about 10 people, there is a very cosy atmosphere. The staff was very kind and the dinner was by far the best. It was also possible to order from regular menu, since they host other customers. I cannot recommend it enough :)

We hadn't booked, but the girl found us a table for two (so far so good). We waited 25 minutes before they asked us for drinks. Another 10 minutes for the menu. But despite this, the dishes arrived fairly quickly. The prices were quite high, but good.

We loved it! Everything was delicious, excellent value for money, and a beautiful location. We'll definitely be back!

We spent two wonderful days. There were four of us, plus three other friends. The place was very well-kept and clean. We ate divinely. A special thanks to all the staff: helpful, welcoming, and always ready to accommodate our needs. We even stayed one night, sharing a room with bunk beds. The panoramic terrace is breathtaking. An experience we absolutely must repeat. Thank you!!

Situated in a beautiful location with views of Lastoni de Formin and Croda da Lago, it's a starting point for excursions to Nuvolau Averau and Cinque Torri. A quiet spot surrounded by greenery, the Giau Walls are just a 10-minute walk away. The food is excellent and good value. You can also sleep overnight. Welcoming staff.

A little gem on the Passo Giau 😍 You have to be tempted to take this small, stony road that leads up to this refuge; you'll eat so well there. The view from the terrace is incredible! We were extremely lucky because the restaurant was full that evening (with people sleeping at the refuge), but the waitresses were great and found a way to accommodate us. The service was impeccable, everything you could hope for in this kind of place. And above all, there were large quantities of food, with prices that remained reasonable! This place was recommended to us during a hike in the area, and I can only recommend it.

Very good, artisanal food. Friendly service. The only flaw is the lack of list of ingredients on the menu (which is written on chalkboards). The tagliatelle with venison ragù cannot be served over a layer of melted butter: instead, change the name of the dish and specify that it contains butter. When it was served, the dish was returned and replaced with a cheaper one, but this substitution wasn't noted on the bill; there could have been more attention. When we pointed this out, we were told that the ragù dish had to be thrown away (which wasn't true) and therefore should be counted. Assuming it could have actually been thrown away (which clearly wasn't the case, as the dish at our table wasn't even close), there could have been more flexibility in handling the inconvenience. I repeat: the ingredients must be listed; just because you're at a remote mountain hut in Trentino doesn't mean food safety guidelines apply.

Caratteristica malga con vista mozzafiato! Ho pranzato sul terrazzo circondata dalla bellezza delle Dolomiti e gustato dei buoni piatti locali ad un prezzo onesto. Personale molto gentile. Da tornare.
