Excellent experience. It was recommended to us by several friends and it was a great discovery. Pork in many forms, but ravioli with sauce and grilled sausage were excellent. Almond parfait, a very good conclusion. Very modest bill: 1 starter, 2 first courses, 2 second courses, 2 side dishes, 1 dessert, house wine and water for €58

Everything like 30 years ago, poor starter, disappointing ravioli, decent risotto, the only thing I had never tasted was the stuffed rib... I could have avoided it at all; in my humble opinion we need to give ourselves a 360° makeover - no pig has been magnified except in jelly.

Excellent experience in Chiaramonte Gulfi, city of the pig. Recommended by friends, the top restaurants in the city, all sublime if you are in the area, an obligatory stop.

Very good restaurant, we were a table of 15 people, we had several courses, everything was excellent. I recommend the pappardelle with mushrooms.

The reputation of the place is deserved, I only had one course after the starter and my high expectations were not disappointed. In the photo pork entrecote with porcini mushrooms and truffle.

I had always wanted to go and eat at Majore, the expectations were very high. Usually in these cases we are completely or partially disappointed. This is not the case. We ate very well, in a comfortable environment with impeccable service. The prices are very reasonable. I'll be back

Il locale abbastanza adeguato, diffuso su vari ambienti di dimensioni diverse, nel pieno centro storico di Chiaramonte Gulfi. Non si può fare a meno di visitarlo e di fermarsi a pranzo per godere delle tante prelibatezze ed in particolare della gelatina di maiale, magistralmente preparate dallo chef. Il personale è abbastanza gentile (… con qualche eccezione) e pronto a soddisfare ogni tua curiosità. I prezzi assolutamente nella norma e (a mio modesto avviso) anche inferiori a quelli riscontrati in altre strutture similari. Assolutamente da non perdere il risotto alla Majore e la costata ripiena. Ma il top si raggiunge con la gelatina di cui ho già detto che è indiscutibilmente unica.

Piacevole giornata all'insegna della quiete di Chiaramonte Gulfi. Su consiglio del mio compagno siamo stati a pranzo da Majore (in attività da più di 100 anni) Tutto molto buono! Dai primi al dolce. Se posso solo fare un appunto, nelle trofie ai porcini e pistacchio, si avverte poco quest'ultimo a meno che non si addenti la parte più grossolana. Servirebbe qualcosa che amalgami entrambi i sapori dei funghi e del pistacchio stesso (come un accenno di pesto di pistacchio). Ma questo è gusto personale! Mi sono piaciuti tanto a prescindere.

26/12/2024: Located in the center of lower Modica, but in an alley that guarantees tranquility, it is a place furnished with simple elegance. Cozy, even romantic. The menu is constantly evolving, as is Francesca Barone's traditional and, at the same time, sparkling with imagination cuisine. Very young, without taboos but respectful of the seasonality and territoriality of tradition. In the dining room are sister Carla and her husband, who best manage the attentive service and a cellar full of surprises and distant harvests. Excellent success of the dishes and a quality/price ratio that is difficult to find elsewhere. The tasting menus leave ample freedom of choice and are extremely convenient. Very recommended!
28/09/2024: Absolutely stunning dinner last night with my wife. We had a shorter version of a tasting menu and really should have gone with the longer one, since every dish was so beautiful, creative, thoughtful and delicious. Service was just as fantastic as well, our server recommended a phenomenal wine that we absolutely fall in loved with and would never discover otherwise. You should definitely go and eat here. I can’t recommend this place enough. It was absolutely one of our favorite meals we had in Sicily.
