Excellent and authentic tavern, but the service (courtesy and professionalism, for the staff in the room with white jackets) is restaurant-style.
You drink and eat very well (intelligent few dishes, but done well and at honest prices)
Moreover, being in the historic center, we can enjoy a stroll after lunch. We will always return and with many friends.

Where were 12 people for lunch. We sat in the first small room after the show kitchen with two other tables and it was really loud. The food was mediocre, the recommended wine was good and the service was very slow and inattentive. One of our friends wanted water for the dog, but this was refused on the grounds that the floor would be wet. When we wanted to have the invoice individually, this was not possible. The padrone said in the original tone that he could stay at home if he started doing that. For me, once and never again.

Excellent experience. It was recommended to us by several friends and it was a great discovery. Pork in many forms, but ravioli with sauce and grilled sausage were excellent. Almond parfait, a very good conclusion. Very modest bill: 1 starter, 2 first courses, 2 second courses, 2 side dishes, 1 dessert, house wine and water for €58

Everything like 30 years ago, poor starter, disappointing ravioli, decent risotto, the only thing I had never tasted was the stuffed rib... I could have avoided it at all; in my humble opinion we need to give ourselves a 360° makeover - no pig has been magnified except in jelly.

Excellent experience in Chiaramonte Gulfi, city of the pig. Recommended by friends, the top restaurants in the city, all sublime if you are in the area, an obligatory stop.

Il locale abbastanza adeguato, diffuso su vari ambienti di dimensioni diverse, nel pieno centro storico di Chiaramonte Gulfi. Non si può fare a meno di visitarlo e di fermarsi a pranzo per godere delle tante prelibatezze ed in particolare della gelatina di maiale, magistralmente preparate dallo chef. Il personale è abbastanza gentile (… con qualche eccezione) e pronto a soddisfare ogni tua curiosità. I prezzi assolutamente nella norma e (a mio modesto avviso) anche inferiori a quelli riscontrati in altre strutture similari. Assolutamente da non perdere il risotto alla Majore e la costata ripiena. Ma il top si raggiunge con la gelatina di cui ho già detto che è indiscutibilmente unica.

Piacevole giornata all'insegna della quiete di Chiaramonte Gulfi.
Su consiglio del mio compagno siamo stati a pranzo da Majore (in attività da più di 100 anni)
Tutto molto buono!
Dai primi al dolce.
Se posso solo fare un appunto, nelle trofie ai porcini e pistacchio, si avverte poco quest'ultimo a meno che non si addenti la parte più grossolana.
Servirebbe qualcosa che amalgami entrambi i sapori dei funghi e del pistacchio stesso (come un accenno di pesto di pistacchio).
Ma questo è gusto personale!
Mi sono piaciuti tanto a prescindere.
