I am certain you can tell whether a mountain restaurant is worth visiting if it's frequented by ski instructors or pisteurs, in Maison Carrel you'll see both and the carabinieri also. Our go-to stop when skiing in La Thuile and we usually meet plenty of friends who've also skied over from La Rosiere. Never fails to please, lots of choice on the menu, the best Bicycletta cocktails in a buzzing ambience. We've only ever found friendly and helpful staff, so for us at least one visit is a must.
Absolutely the best restaurant by far on the mountain. We ate here quite a few times and always go when skiing in La Thuile. The food is excellent in every way. All freshly cooked and it’s a very busy restaurant often frequented by the French coming over from La Rosiere. Easy to get to on the runs and a nice toilet !
Service is always brilliant too.
