Maio Restaurant In Milano

On our final evening in Milan, coinciding with my daughter’s birthday, we inadvertently found ourselves at Maio Restaurant. While seeking an alternative dining establishment, we were drawn to the restaurant’s picturesque view. Unfortunately, the terrace was situated in from of the construction of the Duomo. Despite this, the atmosphere remained enchanting, with live violinists performing and a welcoming hostess. We inquired about their ability to accommodate us, and they readily agreed, assuring us that it would only take a few minutes. As we waited, they offered us champagne, which was a gracious gesture. We sat down, and the music was lovely. The food was wonderful. I wanted to try the Veal Milanese before we left, so I ordered it, and I am so glad I did. It was cooked to perfection. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. It turned out to be a beautiful last night in Milan. We still talk about the Veal Milanese.

The food is very tasty. The menu is short but varied and light: there are seafood, salads, and meat dishes. I recommend it to anyone tired of the ubiquitous pizza, pasta, bread, and other Italian carbs. The menu also changes depending on the time of day (they have breakfast, lunch, afternoon, and evening menus), so you can come back several times a day and always find something new to enjoy. The service is friendly and very helpful. Another plus is the beautiful view of the church and the fact that the restaurant is located in a food court/shopping center-style setting. After dinner, you can stroll among the stalls and buy a variety of Italian delicacies.

The view of the Duomo cathedral is unique. The restaurant has very nice dishes and in particular the risotto was fantastic.

A restaurant on the seventh floor of the Rinascente shopping mall, located right in front of Milan's famous Gozzo and next to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. The restaurant has a large terrace with a stunning view of the Duomo. The food is good and the service is just fine.

Great service from all the staff 10/10 with complimentary drinks, which was a nice touch. The atmosphere was good, although a bit chilly 9/10. The first course was excellent, though the second-course cheese tasting portion was very small 9/10.

Aperitif after a tour of the various floors of La Rinascente. The bartender and staff behind the bar were all really kind and helpful. The Campari Spritz was well-made, but the rest was a bit lacking for the price. Overall, a positive experience.

Lunch on a rooftop in Milan with a frontal view of the Duomo, in a decidedly trendy and charming location. The atmosphere is refined and pleasant, ideal for a different experience. The dishes are well-crafted, with excellent flavors and an interesting selection, although the portions aren't particularly large. The service is average: adequate and appropriate to the setting, although not particularly memorable. The prices are slightly higher than average, but overall the experience is worth trying at least once, especially for the view and the atmosphere.

Excellent restaurant with an exceptional view of the Milan Cathedral. The food is fantastic; we ate wonderfully. The veal with tuna sauce, tartare, agnolotti del plin, risotto all'Amarone, and beef slaw are highly recommended. The wine selection is also excellent, and the staff is very knowledgeable about the wine list and its pairings. They also speak English, making the experience easier for non-native speakers. I especially wanted to thank Gioele, who was always attentive to our needs and offered us advice on wine selection. A place we'll definitely return to and recommend to friends and family.

The best cutlet of my life! I usually avoid super crowded and touristy places because the food isn't great, but this one was recommended to me even though it's very touristy (on the 7th floor of the Rinascente with a view of the Duomo, so obviously super touristy), but the food was very good and the cutlet was out of this world. Not to mention the view of the Duomo! I recommend making reservations!
