Maio Restaurant In Milano

What can I say? Highly recommended. The best (non-touristy) restaurant in central Milan, with a stunning terrace location, practically overlooking the Duomo. High-quality cutlet, perfectly executed. Impressive wine list, reasonably priced!

Great place to eat with a great view of the Duomo. On the pricier end, with the portions being a bit smaller than other places, but nevertheless the food was tasty, and you can get some good pictures with the Duomo here.

We made a reservation just a few hours before dinner. We sat on the outdoor terrace. Receiving a complimentary glass of proseco was a nice touch. I had the tasting menu terra. The carbonara risotto and beef filet were excellent. My wife had the lobster salad and chafron rissoto. The recommended bottle of wine was also amazing. As a final touch the cream donut was amazing.

The food was great. Service slow, not attentive. Not sure if anyone works here. I almost walked out. I’m sure they would not have noticed, But I’m not a criminal. I would recommend the waiters to attend their customers as we came to drink and eat. Not sleep. Thank you.

Awesome view of the duomo & delicious drinks. Pricey but would recommend for the experience

Beautiful ambiance, but unfortunately our experience didn’t live up to the setting. Service was inattentive—we waited 45 minutes for our entrees—and the food was underwhelming for the price, including undercooked pasta. Based on other reviews, this may have been an off night, but I wouldn’t personally recommend it.

I went looking for breakfast and it didn't disappoint. Everything was delicious and not that expensive, considering Milan, and especially with that fantastic view. I enjoyed every moment! I would go back.

Un restaurant qui ne vaut surtout que pour sa vue sur le Dome, sinon accueil, service, menu, on est dans l'industriel touristique à prix élevé!

In visita a Milano facciamo tappa alla Rinascente dove al 7* piano si trova il ristorante Maio. Abbiamo deciso di fermarci per un aperitivo e anche per il pranzo in veranda con vista delle guglie e della Madonnina del duomo. Servizio impeccabile e camerieri gentili. Abbiamo ordinato due aperitivi (uno spriz 14€ e un crodino 7€) e ci sono stati serviti senza alcun stuzzichino, per questa cifra ok il bel panorama ma ci aspettavamo almeno due olive o due tartine invece nulla, per fortuna avevamo il pane portato per il pranzo. Abbiamo ordinato un risotto alla milanese con ossobuco molto buono (19€) una costoletta alla milanese con cavolo cappuccio (una sforchettata) 38€ Il risotto molto buono, la costoletta (di maiale) non era nulla di particolare. Insomma per due aperitivi, un primo e un secondo con una bottiglia da 0.75 cl di acqua naturale abbiamo pagato 91€! Direi esagerato. Per me va bene una volta nella vita ma sicuramente con questi prezzi non torno!
