Maharaja Express In Parma

Very good dinner, good service 👍👍👍

I went to dinner at this restaurant by chance, with a group of friends who had booked through TheFork using the 50% off promotion. My first impression, upon entering, was a bit perplexing: the place was bare, minimally personalized, and the temperature was decidedly too low. We were also the only customers, which wasn't exactly encouraging. The woman in the dining room, however, was immediately welcoming, smiling, and helpful. We chose from a vast menu: samosas, naan, focaccia, basmati rice, and meat dishes. Everything was delicious, so much so that we even ordered a few seconds. We particularly enjoyed the whole-wheat focaccia with potatoes and spices, which we ordered four or five times. I must say, I wouldn't have chosen it if I'd walked by, but the overall experience was excellent. Thanks to TheFork's promotion, we paid €23 per person. The quality/price ratio was also excellent.

Very Nice Atmosphere & Good Quality of Food.

We went as a couple, and the owner greeted us with a smile right away. The place is nothing fancy, but simple and clean, including the bathroom. We ordered an appetizer, two naan dishes, a lamb dish and a vegetable dish, a side of simple white rice, two still waters, and to finish, a traditional dessert. With cover charge included, we paid €40 for two. I'd say it was more than fair for what we ate. The staff was polite and attentive. We absolutely recommend it.

I was a customer of Maharaja when it was located on Via d'Azeglio. The move has definitely improved this restaurant, starting with the availability of parking! As soon as you enter, you're greeted by a warm, family atmosphere, thanks in large part to the two owner brothers, always smiling, helpful, and attentive to every detail. You can immediately sense the passion they put into their work. The food is simply fantastic: authentic flavors, well-balanced spices, and dishes prepared with great care. The presentation of the dishes is also excellent, and the service is perfect. Recommended!
