Invited by friends who live in the area, we were able to experience the absolute quality of the seafood served in a modern, welcoming, and meticulously curated setting with a display case showcasing the catch of the day. We started with a seafood fan consisting of several dishes: raw fish carpaccio, warm seafood salad, grilled octopus on chickpea puree, shrimp in pink sauce, stewed baby octopus, stuffed squid, and gratinated scallops. Next we tried the lobster linguine and the fish and vegetable tempura, all accompanied by a nice Ligurian Vermentino. To finish, we enjoyed excellent homemade desserts and a glass of Passito di Pantelleria. The service was prompt, attentive, and friendly. The bill? We don't know why it was offered, but it's certainly in line with the best seafood restaurants—that is, medium-high. It's a shame we live far away, but we'll gladly return.

My wife and I have been frequenting this "PEARL"
of a restaurant since 2017. This isn't just a cliché.
I repeat, it's a pearl because it's so
attention to detail, clean, and elegant.
Let's talk about the premises first. Let's start with the
restrooms, which for me are the presentation
of a restaurant. So clean, well-kept,
fragrant, and very elegant. The rooms are
perfectly cared for down to the last detail. MISE EN
PLACE rating 10. Want to eat the freshest
fish? This is the ideal place. They have a counter with everything on display. You choose the type and size. Of course, you can also eat
equally fantastic farm-to-table products,
but if you want to close your eyes and smell the
sea, you're in the right place. They have a very extensive wine list, affordable for even the most demanding diner. A refrigerated dessert counter
that's so elegant, it's almost a shame to
eat them because they look like a masterpiece
and are so delicious. The
mixture of flours used for the pizzas is
so good you could eat three. Regardless, I only eat the Marinara because I need to enjoy the dough, not what's on top. Only then can you judge whether the pizza is truly THE PIZZA. The owner is a truly fantastic person, friendly and enterprising. He's not your typical bossy owner. He's always present among the customers, attentive to each individual's needs. The staff is HIGHLY qualified, ready to satisfy every request. MADREPERLA is definitely worth a visit. The other reviews speak for themselves. There's no need for too many frills.
I just want to make one important premise:
IF YOU'RE THINKING OF EATING FRESH FISH AND PAYING 25 EUROS, GO DIRECTLY TO THE FROZEN FOOD COUNTER IN THE SUPERMARKET.

The restaurant's admittedly inconvenient location and exterior appearance suggest an all-you-can-eat experience: fortunately, this isn't the case.
Inside, the restaurant is well-maintained, with modern furnishings (the chairs are too "comfortable"; you'll sink in after a while), although it's hard to find the restaurant's true soul.
The maître d' and wait staff are discreet and attentive, good, and the service overall good.
Let's get to the heart of the review.
The appetizer, Cantrabian Sea anchovies, was well-prepared (especially the whipped butter), a good dish, average (I didn't expect otherwise).
The main course, where I set my expectations high: amberjack on a bed of escarole, pine nuts, raisins, and anchovies.
I was hoping for something more...amberjack was delicious, perhaps it should have been cooked more carefully, but it was overcooked and stringy. The bed wasn't good, colder than the amberjack, and it remained too compact, not inviting to be eaten in communion with the amberjack. It's still a dish in line with today's standards.
Let's finish with desserts: good, but how much did you cost me?
Overall, a decent experience, but not quite up to my expectations.

I tried pizza at this restaurant for the first time with friends. It was the best I've ever eaten. So the following week I decided to take my family for a try. We booked for Sunday noon, but when we arrived they told us they don't serve pizza on Sunday noon. My question is simple: why do you ask for it on the reservation form and didn't let me know in advance?
We ordered three different entrees that were neither worth the wait nor the price.
We were very disappointed.
