Excellent meat, interesting selection of appetizers. Both the owner and his staff are very friendly...they make you feel at home. Recommended for those who love good meat.

I had an amazing Florentine steak, a tartare that literally melted in your mouth, and the tosoni (a type of beef) appetizer. Everything was exceptional, accompanied by a Lambrusco that, while not my favorite, went down beautifully. All this was complemented by the friendliness of Luca and his staff. The desserts were also excellent.

Absolutely the best place in Reggio Emilia to eat excellent quality meat!!!! With impeccable service! You walk in and are warmly welcomed by both the owner (who for me is the best) and the truly excellent staff (and that's hard to do these days!!). The girls are truly excellent, polite, and kind! With so much patience and professionalism. The place is cared for down to the smallest details! Before you start, they always offer you something typical to try (like ciccioli, salami, or polenta), and even though they're always busy, they don't make you wait to take your order. Not only that, they also serve you quickly, so for those who are very hungry, this is the right place!!! Luca (the owner) always gives you excellent advice both on the choice of meat (super good!!!) and wines! And above all, he explains where they come from and how they prepare everything! All in all, a truly positive experience! It's become my absolute favorite place!!! The place is also really cute and, above all, clean!! In fact, it's very clean! With everything on display. I have to say that the prices, both for the service and the quality, are really fair. Very honest, in my opinion!!! I was really happy to discover this WONDERFUL place!!!! Locale molto pulito, bagno compreso. Menù essenziale a base di carne, compreso wagyu 😎. Materie prime ottime. Personale molto gentile e cortese. Prezzi adeguati alle materie prime. Ottimo riferimento. Consigliatissimo.

Prima domenica di giugno a pranzo in questo ristorante appena fuori dal centro di Reggio Emilia. Cucina che, come dice il nome, propone solo piatti di carne, per chi vuole ci sono dei tortelli verdi come primo, e che svaria dal carne locale a quella piemontese fino a quella giapponese. Si possono prendere dei bei tagli di carne alla griglia o scegliere tra diversi tipi menù. Personale gentile ma, probabilmente per la tanta gente, non hanno spiegato i piatti che hanno portato limitandosi ad appoggiarli sul tavolo. Devo comunque dire che Trattoria del Macellaio è un ottimo indirizzo per assaggiare la carne locale ma anche quella straniera.
