They waited for us close to closing time in the afternoon, after having told them that we would arrive on foot from the RCF Arena. Very kind, friendly and jovial, top meat: tender and succulent.

In the last year I have drastically reduced my meat consumption but every now and then I allow myself to break the rule.
And this time I chose the Trattoria del Macellaio Fornaciari in Reggio Emilia.
Booked the table with 10/11 days' notice, I arrive on site and sit down (even though it seemed to me that they hadn't marked my reservation..)
The menu offers a vast selection of meats, including foreign ones, but processed on Italian soil.
There is also a part with more valuable cuts, also in price.
I decide for a medallion of Piedmontese fassona fillet with a side of potatoes; good yes and a lot but it doesn't scream miracle.
Not even the baked potatoes which in my opinion were from the day before and reheated at the moment so a little... limp.
The mascarpone with chocolate flakes for dessert, however, is good.
Too bad for the very… “washed out” coffee, pass the term to me.
I think the price is correct for the historical moment but a bit high overall.
The restaurant, however, is modern and well furnished, with moderate air conditioning.
Easy to find and with parking both in front and nearby.
I went willingly, I ate well and the owner is really knowledgeable and nice but I have been to more engaging places.
But I promote it and recommend it as they recommended it to me!

nice restaurant not too big, personally I prefer tables a bit more spaced apart, but that's fine, regarding the menu, great choice of 🥩, also very fine, fair prices, I tasted a very good Florentine steak from the Marche region, also the potatoes, and the meat tartare with excellent onion.

Nice place, with the classic shop setting, typical of western Emilia. Nice meat menu, simple and tasty for a quality lunch break at very affordable prices. Nice choice of sandwiches too, a melange of the German tradition, with excellent beef.

Se volete gustare la migliore "ciccia" di Reggio e provincia, non potete non provare la carne di Luca, smpaticissimo titolare che sa consigliare e coccolare i suoi clienti.
Frequento il locale da anni con una coppia di amici, e la qualità è sempre al top.
Non ne rimarrete delusi!

Superlative meat combined with the great friendliness of the manager and all the staff. The side dishes and desserts are also excellent.
Honest prices considering the quality of the dishes, good wine list.
Definitely recommended and a must stop before every concert at the RCF Arena (less than 2km away)!!!

Moderna steack house sulla via Emilia a Reggio: piacevole ed informale l'ambiente. Buona la proposta e la qualità delle carni ed ottima la cottura; molto gradite le entrees ( polenta, salame e ciccioli). Carta dei vini non amplissima ,con qualche discreta etichetta, ma con ricarichi forse un po' eccessivi. Servizio attento e veloce. Dolci - per chi ha ancora spazio - gradevoli. Conto assolutamente corretto. Torneremo sicuramente. Bravi!
