Great meat prepared on the grill right at the butcher's counter, accompanied by a fantastic selection of wines. Definitely worth a visit. The best tiramisu. Everything fresh. On a stand, but served with love.

Macelleria Popolare is located in the market area on the Darsena, with the option of eating right there at the counter. The kitchen is open to the public; you choose what you want and the chefs prepare it for you right there. The chefs take care of every detail, a care you wouldn't expect from a butcher's shop. I tried: - Genovese sandwich: very soft bread, almost like a bao. Genovese wasn't bad, not as strong as I expected; I preferred it less watery. - Messinese: good, no complaints. The prices, however, are a bit "unpopular." €4 for the Messinese, which is a real bite, and €16 for the Genovese, with the sandwich being a bit small. Probably justified by the location and the expertise of the staff involved. I'd like to try something else and update the review.

The best street food in the area. Lots of meat and offal to choose from, from the familiar to the unexpected. Delicious. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The wine is also great. Just a great place.

One of my favourites, if not THE favourite in Milano, the service is amazing, the midollo, the pastrami sandwich and the tartar are all amazing, the panino con lingua e salsa verde is to die for, great selection of wine to go with the food as well, highly recommend getting some skewers to bite on while watching them prepare the food

Quality comes at a price, and there's plenty of it here. Each dish is meticulously crafted by a knowledgeable and very friendly staff. The Genovese is undoubtedly one of the best sandwiches in Milan.
