If you're in the area it is worth a stop. Really nice food and good butcher shop. Nice selection of wine for the bar style meal even in winter. I would recommend to a friend. Sure it would be even better to take away in the summer.

The paninis are amazing, especially the tongue, pastrami, or tartare ones—generous portions and full of character. Everything tastes homemade, honest, as if someone who loves their craft were cooking just for you. The atmosphere is 100% local, relaxed, with shared tables and people enjoying themselves at a leisurely pace. Ideal for going hungry, ordering wine, eating well, and letting Milan unfold before you, especially if you get a table near Navigli. Fast, friendly, and straightforward service. You come here to eat well, not to be sold a bill of goods.

Great meat prepared on the grill right at the butcher's counter, accompanied by a fantastic selection of wines. Definitely worth a visit. The best tiramisu. Everything fresh. On a stand, but served with love.

Macelleria Popolare is located in the market area on the Darsena, with the option of eating right there at the counter. The kitchen is open to the public; you choose what you want and the chefs prepare it for you right there. The chefs take care of every detail, a care you wouldn't expect from a butcher's shop. I tried: - Genovese sandwich: very soft bread, almost like a bao. Genovese wasn't bad, not as strong as I expected; I preferred it less watery. - Messinese: good, no complaints. The prices, however, are a bit "unpopular." €4 for the Messinese, which is a real bite, and €16 for the Genovese, with the sandwich being a bit small. Probably justified by the location and the expertise of the staff involved. I'd like to try something else and update the review.
