We came to this place almost as a last resort. Excellent surprise. Characteristic with an open counter for meats, cured meats and cheeses. Attentive and helpful service. I haven't eaten such good and tasty meat in a long time. Puree of broad beans and chard like grandma's, strips with delicious mushrooms, cut a little tough but with superlative meat. The house wine alone deserves a return, not to mention the home-made focaccia. Excellent value for money. Try it

In pieno centro storico di Melfi, una bellissima Osteria-Macelleria mi ha accolto in maniera calorosa con la semplicità dell coppia titolare, con i legni dei suoi piccoli tavoli, con l’atmosfera da locanda di altri tempi. Entro e ti trovi pochi pochi posti a sedere pronti ad ospitarti per una deliziosa esperienza culinaria a base di carne del territorio cotta alla brace in maniera eccellente. Se vuoi ti delizi anche con il più semplice ma veramente unico sapore delle tagliatelle fatte in casa con freschissimi funghi porcini… Io sono rimasto senza parole. Gentilezza, profumo di casa, semplicità di persone che ti accolgono in maniera affettuosa. Aggiungiamo l’eccellente costata di manzo da 1 kg alla brace, il fantastico rosso Aglianico delle Volture, l’atmosfera da locanda osteria piccola e ospitale e si completa una cena che non apprezzavo, in maniera vera ma te entusiasta, dai miei anni trascorsi in Toscana. Melfi (e Braceria), alla prossima sicuramente!

Siamo stati in questa macelleria/ ristorante in occasione di una visita medica per nostro figlio. Siamo stati benissimo! Abbiamo potuto apprezzare le tagliatelle ai funghi porcini, la bistecca di manzo, la zuppa inglese e gli amari. Veramente oltre ogni aspettativa! Grazie!

I love Melfi. I didn't like this dinner. I made a mistake in ordering two appetizers and two grills for two people, while I was waiting I liked the bread, too much bread, but I don't understand the price of the wine I paid 24 euros... I was eating outside an old grill in the middle of traffic on an evening of village celebration...not at the Grand hotel...the wine was Verbo, of poor quality. too expensive and of an unpleasant taste.so I don't have it I appreciate the price being too high and the quality certainly poor... I ask the lady... so she thinks she is encouraging tourism in Melfi? I love the city and its history, but not the dinner I had here. I'm sorry.

Excellent dinner in this very welcoming place with friendly and helpful staff and excellent quality food. In particular, the superlative cold cuts and cheese platter. We will definitely be back
