We came to this place almost as a last resort. Excellent surprise. Characteristic with an open counter for meats, cured meats and fotmaggi. Attentive and helpful service. I haven't eaten such good and tasty meat in a long time. Puree of broad beans and chard like grandma's, strips with delicious mushrooms, cut a little tough but with superlative meat. The house wine alone deserves a return, not to mention the home-made focaccia. Excellent value for money. Try it

I love Melfi. I didn't like this dinner. I made a mistake in ordering two appetizers and two grills for two people, while I was waiting I liked the bread, too much bread, but I don't understand the price of the wine I paid 24 euros... I was eating outside an old grill in the middle of traffic on an evening of village celebration...not at the Grand hotel...the wine was Verbo, of poor quality. too expensive and of an unpleasant taste.so I don't have it I appreciate the price being too high and the quality certainly poor... I ask the lady... so she thinks she is encouraging tourism in Melfi? I love the city and its history, but not the dinner I had here. I'm sorry.

Excellent dinner in this very welcoming place with friendly and helpful staff and excellent quality food. In particular, the superlative cold cuts and cheese platter. We will definitely be back

Locanda Al Giglio D'Oro

27/08/2024: Nice place to seek refuge for a week and appreciate the sound of silence. Excellent food, large, very clean rooms. Perhaps the only flaw is some difficulty in reaching it. But I assure you it's worth it
20/08/2024: The inn is just outside the town of Ruvo del Monte, on the hill, a stone's throw from the sixteenth-century castle and the ancient convent. The location makes it an ideal place for a weekend of complete relaxation to discover Frederick's places. The restaurant is family-run and offers simple and genuine cuisine, using local products and in particular homemade pasta and lamb. Friendly service.
