A wonderful discovery in Melfi! Braceria Rauseo offers a high-end culinary experience: the products are excellent, the raw materials are top-quality, and the dishes are original and never boring. The portions are generous, and the prices aren't cheap, but they're moderate and absolutely fair for the quality and quantity served. The stracotto is a must-try: incredibly tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Special praise goes to the lady in the dining room, attentive, courteous, and very professional: she adds a touch of warmth that makes the dinner even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Excellent meat dishes. The eggplant caponata and mixed meat skewer are fantastic. The loose Aglianico is excellent.

The appetizers and meats are spectacular, all top-quality. Even their homemade desserts are exquisite! The staff is incredibly friendly. Highly recommended!

We had dinner here for our anniversary. It's a casual but charming place, a butcher shop that also serves grilled meats and fish. Not a huge selection, but everything was truly delicious. From the appetizers (we shared a very good baked caciocavallo and saw platters that looked truly excellent and very generous), to the generous and well-seasoned first courses, the main courses (we had an excellent tartare), and even the desserts (the homemade cheesecake was very good). Prices are perhaps a bit high for the area, but we ordered practically all the courses and everything was excellent. The house wine was good. (about €95 for two with one shared appetizer, two first courses, two tartares, two desserts, half a liter of house wine, and water.)

The highest quality, locally sourced products, including meat from their own farm, are top-notch. Excellent value and impeccable service. We'll be back. Highly recommended.

On holiday in Puglia but we drove an hour and a half to get there. My partner wanted to take us to this fantastic place that he remembered, after years, excellent, what can I say, it did NOT disappoint us.
