Funghi pizza was pretty good! Service was somewhat curt and unfriendly but not awful. And yes there is a €2 coperto to dine here and no they don't mention it before you eat. But for €10 for a beer and pizza in Taormina it's hard to really complain. I think this restaurant's current average rating has more to do with all the grumpy, penny-pinching tourists that aren't used to paying any gratuity at all and spending the minimum they possibly can to dine out.

We had a very pleasant evening here - this place is casual non-pretentious and relaxed. We had lasagne, salad and deserts. Salad was fresh and tasty. We loved the ice cream in a cup too. With beer and wine and a reasonable bill - what is there not to like?

Excellent location in the historic center of Taormina. The staff are friendly, helpful, and courteous. As I always say, quality is what makes the difference. A wonderful experience to try and enjoy the specialties. Excellent selection and a great lunch...or dinner...

For anyone that has left a negative review, has not traveled in Italy before. We came here every day we were in Taormina (6 days). Pino the owner is the best and always took the best care of us. Family-run and definitely a great value in the tourist priced area. If you’ve had a bad experience, it’s probably because you’re an ignorant traveller and treated them poorly. Amazing arancino that tasted the best I’ve had in Sicily.

Arancini with very good salmon, sardines in lemon leaves, aromatic and very good, fritto misto very ok, with a special flavor. All sprinkled with a wonderful appetizer, vino con mandorle. I recommend!
