Excellent lunch based on excellent meat... today perhaps a little too crowded (Saturday, August) but very attentive and punctual service.

OK experience. No more, no less. Did a 45 minute drive to get there, and I wouldn’t do it again since food is good almost anywhere in Italy.
Had a fun apero moment in front of the restaurant. Dinner followed, and we were disappointed to see that the meal is pretty much ONLY meat. Servers go around with plates of meat, and simply drop some pieces in your plates without explaining what it is. It was good, but lacked seasoning.
After eating meat for 1 hour and a half, the meal finishes with a plain baked potato 🙃. There is a simple olive oil cake served for dessert which was simple but good.
Cool thing is that good wine and water is included.
Overall, it is not worth the hype. Only go if you’re a huge meat lover.

Fabulous experience! Magnificent atmosphere, precise and attentive service! The offer is excellent, the food is divine, the detractors are just envious. Mr. Cecchini is a character of unparalleled depth, just shaking his hand and exchanging a few words during the aperitif he offers is worth the price of the evening!

It deserves its fame. We start with an aperitif in the street outside the butcher's shop with crostini and Chianti. Then with €50 you have excellent food and practically unlimited drinking.
It will almost certainly happen that you are paired with other strangers at a shared table but this is also a good way to create conviviality.

Nothing special for 50 euros each. I've eaten much better Florentine steak in other restaurants nearby, at least I get my piece of meat and I know what I'm eating, no pieces of meat.
It looks like one of those all you can eat Chinese restaurants, the difference is that you pay 50 euros instead of 20 euros!! The meat isn't made in Italy anyway, they pay little for it and they charge a lot for it!!!

The quality of the raw material can be seen as well as felt, he takes great care to leave the natural taste of the meat leaving freedom to add scented salt (produced by him).
The beautiful thing is how it makes conviviality important by placing diners at united tables, thus creating new acquaintances even of different nationalities!

Vista la fama del Macellaio sono andato a provare questa esperienza. La prima impressione è che si arrivi in un posto molto per turisti, dove in velocità si fa un piccolo brindisi di benvenuto ma in maniera molto fredda...mi aspettavo qualche spiegazione o cmq più calore . Cmq si sale al primo piano e si sta in compagnia di chi capita, molti stranieri e meno italiani , e si inizia questo percorso dove mancando il principale attore perché a quanto pare li ormai ci va poco e niente, nessuno ti spiega come si aspettavo o cmq ti mette realmente a tuo agio...sei un po' lasciato a te stesso e se sei un tipo espansivo allora te la cavi altrimenti sei lì in attesa che ti mettano qualcosa nel piatto. Sicuramente molto bello da vedere il braciere etc però alla fine nn mangi chissà quali prelibatezze secondo il mio punto di vista. In sostanza è un esperienza che si ci può stare una volta ma forse campano più di rendita di ciò che ha fatto in passato che di quello che realmente è oggi. Lo consiglio? Si. Ci tornerei? No.
