L'Unico In Salerno

We were in Salerno for 1 night and my wife had our 3 kids by herself for a time and ended up at L’Unico on a very busy Saturday evening. Lucia took care of them so wonderfully! I got stuck parking the car from our Airbnb, so I met them after. To say the meal was amazing would be an understatement. They made our children meals they loved not on the menu, we had the most amazing tuna tartare freshly caught. Their shrimp plate tasted fantastic and you could tell they take pride in their cooking and service. After a nightmare parking experience (not at all L’Unico’s fault 🤣) I was greeted with a glass of champagne. Amazing.

A delicious lunch in a beautiful spot. I had clams and gamberetti. Everything was delicious! So glad I followed my gut and came here for dinner.

This Slow Food restaurant offers simple cuisine using fresh ingredients. The owner, Enrico, is always available to explain the menu in detail, including the preparation process.

Small fish restaurant with its own boat so you only eat dishes with the catch of the day (and therefore on days of strong seas the number of dishes is reduced), the menu is therefore written on a large portable blackboard and varies daily. The kitchen proved itself on the entire menu. They pay particular attention to suppliers to use quality products such as slow food presidium oil. What I liked: - welcome and service: the lady is kind, prepared, friendly and never intrusive. He can guide you through the menu, discreetly advising you on the choice of dishes; the service is pleasant and precise with a change of cutlery between courses (which I personally always appreciate); - mise in place: sober and pretty with quality table linen and fabric napkins and the nice addition of a small plant of colored chillies; - the raw materials (not just the fish) are excellent and well treated, the dishes are not particularly elaborate but they were all tasty and with balanced flavours, without being heavy. The appetizers are plentiful. The desserts are also tasty (especially the chocolate cake); - the bread they make comes directly from an artisan bakery in Naples (wood-fired) and is really very good; - excellent room/kitchen coordination; - extremely clean room, including services. - the quality/price ratio is high. What I didn't like: - careless plating; - limited dessert list. Advice: The place (both inside and outside) is small so booking is necessary for safety. In addition to the fish, I recommend trying the truly well-executed "spaghettone alla Nerano".

Had my first dinner out alone for my first solo trip, the shrimp and pasta was amazing! Do go there if you are ever in town! Only sad thing is when your travelling by yourself it’s hard to get a table outside, as that is reserved for couples or more, but the food and staf was really nice

One of the best meals I've had in Salerno! I got the escarole antipasto and the spaghettone with red shrimp. The wait staff was really friendly and accomodating. Beautiful atmosphere sitting outside as well. Highly recommend!!

Pequeño restaurante de mariscos con encanto, buena comida y gran servicio. Los platos de pasta realmente dieron en el lugar. Muy recomendable.

Pesce freschissimo ed esclusivamente locale, come sgombri ed alici, preparato in maniera semplice, senza fronzoli. Location gradevole ed accogliente. Servizio cortese e prezzo adeguato.
