We loved the piadina, we love the real Romagna piadina and here at Luis we were really satisfied, it's delicious! Not least the baked potatoes and cold cuts and then they are kind but also very nice....but everyone! Another part absolutely not to be overlooked: HONEST PRICES. Thank you 😋👍

I love Luis restaurant! It's one of those places I always come back to. The cuisine is traditional Romagna cuisine, with authentic and popular flavors that taste of home and tradition. The veranda is splendid, overlooking the hills: a corner of peace that makes every meal even more pleasant. The staff is always very kind, welcoming and attentive, and the prices are really excellent, especially considering the quality of the food and the atmosphere of the place. A place to feel good, eat divinely and enjoy the view. Super recommended!

You eat well at the right price. I've been going there for 50 years and I trust that they always improve.

The food is good...typical of Romagna...every now and then we have to have little luck (unlucky table) where everything doesn't go right...it's a shame because we ate well and the owner wasn't bad at all

Perched in a small village on the Bertinoro hills, Collinello, there is the Luis Restaurant which offers various dishes among the tastiest of the Romagna tradition. We went there last Saturday evening in the company of a couple of dear friends from Cesenatico. To reach it you need to follow the signs for Bertinoro, if you go up from San Vittore di Cesena, following a road that winds through the Romagna countryside, and then park at the beginning of the village in a large car park with a wonderful view of Cesena and the Riviera. The restaurant is just under 3 minutes away on foot in the center of Collinello. Inside there are several rooms that can accommodate at least a hundred people, but as often happens in places where you eat well, you need to book to avoid not finding a seat, not so much for couples, but for small groups of people. Let me start by saying that there is no paper menu so you have to pay close attention to the waiters who verbally list the dishes of the day, from starters to first courses and finally to second courses. We preferred to bypass the appetizers to dedicate ourselves to tasting first and second courses. As mentioned, there were 4 of us and we ordered a second soup and 3 meat dishes as second courses. As first courses we find fresh pasta prepared by Mrs. Donatella (granddaughter of the first owner, Luis, hence the name of the restaurant) who offers from tagliatelle to cappelletti, from homemade ravioli to strozzapreti, accompanied by meat sauce, hare, vegetables, including capelletti broth. We opted for Tagliatelle with hare ragù and Ravioli filled with herbs and porcini mushrooms: satisfying portions, excellent quality of pasta as well as ragù. For the second course we ordered a portion of Salmì wild boar, a stewed roe deer and a pan-roasted one, accompanied by 2 portions of "Luis's potato" and the handmade Romagna Piadina signed "LUIS". Even in this case, generous portions, so much so that we barely ate it all: obviously if there is anything left over you can do the classic "doggy bag" and take the leftovers home, something that several diners at other tables did. All washed down with a bottle of red and 2 bottles of water. We were so full that we settled for 3 sorbets and 1 slice of dessert, as well as 1 coffee. Final price per couple equal to Euro 69.00=, in line with other places in the area. A truly beautiful place that offers excellent traditional Romagna peasant dishes. A suggestion, in addition to booking the table in advance, is to try to arrive at the restaurant by 7.30/7.45pm in order to order and dine in a reasonable time, this is because despite the professionalism of the waiters and owners, when the place fills up you can risk having to wait ""a little time"" which for some may even be fine, but for others (noticed in their looks around 9.00pm) it could represent a moment of discomfort.

Arroccato in un piccolo paesino sulle colline bertinoresi, Collinello, si trova il Ristorante Luis che propone diversi piatti tra i più gustosi della tradizione Romagnola. Ci siamo andati lo scorso sabato sera in compagnia di una coppia di cari amici di Cesenatico. Per raggiungerlo bisogna seguire le indicazioni per Bertinoro, se si sale da San Vittore di Cesena, seguendo una strada che si snoda nella campagna romagnola, per poi parcheggiare all’inizio del borgo in un ampio parcheggio con vista meravigliosa su Cesena e sulla Riviera. Il locale a piedi dista poco meno di 3 minuti nel centro di Collinello. Al suo interno presenti diverse sale che possono accogliere almeno un centinaio di persone, ma come spesso accade nei locali dove si mangia bene, necessita prenotare onde evitare di non trovare posto, non tanto per le coppiette, ma quanto per gruppetti di persone. Inizio a divi che non è presente un Menù Cartaceo quindi bisogna prestare bene attenzione ai camerieri che a voce elencano i piatti del giorno, dagli antipasti ai primi ed infine ai secondi. Abbiamo preferito by-passare gli antipasti per dedicarci a degustare primi e secondi. Come detto eravamo in 4 persone ed abbiamo ordinato un Bis di Minestre e 3 piatti di carne come secondi. Come primi troviamo la pasta fresca preparata dalla Sig.ra Donatella (nipote del primo proprietario, Luis da cui il nome del Ristorante) che propone dalle tagliatelle ai cappelletti, da ravioli fatti in casa agli strozzapreti, accompagnati da ragù di carne, lepre, verdure, compresi capelletti brodo. Noi abbiamo optato per Tagliatelle al ragù di lepre e Ravioli ripieni di Erbette e Porcini: porzioni soddisfacenti, qualità della pasta eccelsa così come dei ragù. Per secondo abbiamo ordinato una porzione di Cinghiale in Salmì, una di Capriolo in umido ed una di arrosto al tegame, accompagnati da 2 porzioni di “patatone di Luis” e dalla Piadina romagnola firmata “LUIS”, fatta a mano. Anche in questo caso porzioni abbondanti tant’è che a fatica abbiamo mangiato il tutto: ovviamente se avanzasse qualcosa si può effettuare il classico “”doggy bag”” e portarsi a casa gli avanzi, cosa che diversi commensali, in altri tavoli, hanno fatto. Il tutto innaffiato da una bottiglia di rosso e 2 bottiglie di acqua. Talmente eravamo sazi che ci siamo accontentati di 3 sorbetti ed 1 fetta di dolce, oltre ad 1 caffè. Prezzo finale a coppia pari ad Euro 69,00=, in linea con altri locali della zona. Davvero un bel locale che propone eccellenti piatti della tradizione contadina romagnola. Un suggerimento, oltre che prenotare per tempo il tavolo, è quello di cercare di arrivare al Ristorante entro le 19.30/19.45 al fine di ordinare e cenare in tempo ragionevoli, questo in quanto nonostante la professionalità dei camerieri e dei proprietari, quando il locale si riempie si può rischiare di dover attendere “”un po’ di tempo”” che per qualcuno può anche andare bene, ma per altri (notato nei loro sguardi verso le 21.00) potrebbe rappresentare un momento di disagio.

Un ottimo pranzo con la cucina romagnola della tradizione e delle feste. La piada di accompagnamento già da sola merita una visita...tortellini super (anche se preferisco la sfoglia sottile ma è questione di gusti) capretto e cinghiale mooolto buoni e una zuppa inglese da dividere almeno in due perché ottima e molto abbondante...mi consiglio di tornarci presto anche per lo splendido panorama...
