A motorcycle ride to Varese Ligire, stopping for lunch. A small osteria with a limited menu, but it manages to hide a few gems. The pesto croxetti are worth the trip alone. The vitello tonnato is also worth trying. The appetizer was less appreciated.

08/03/2026: For a business lunch, besides the restaurant, there is also excellent pizza.
17/02/2026: As non-italian, I was really surprised how Italians enjoy their lunch. The place is very busy, meals are probably Italian standard. It was very tasty for a reasonable price. Finally, a coffee at the bar as you go is the top :)

Ristorante del Hotel Meri

28/12/2025: We had lunch on December 27th, having discovered it online, but I have to say we ate really well (my husband and I only had one first course each, after having eaten our fill the previous two days). The owner and chef were kind, friendly, and professional. Congratulations, we'll definitely be back!!
09/10/2025: This summer we stayed here for over two weeks and had a wonderful time, along with our dog. The breakfasts are prepared with carefully selected ingredients, and the hotel rooms are beautiful and quiet, perfect for relaxing. Add to that the fact that one of the most beautiful seas in that part of Liguria is just a five-minute drive, bus ride, or a pleasant walk away...all in all, highly recommended, especially for the kindness of the staff.
