Ended up here after the market (Tuesdays only). Locals come here for a glass of wine or lunch. We had a wonderful meal here, a lovely quiet street, cozy and cool thanks to the location, honest and delicious food. Two wines (small glasses) for €2.60... simply delicious!!!
Definitely recommended for honest, simple Italian food. You get a taste of Italy! 🥰

A typical restaurant in the heart of Varese Ligure
A very original appetizer that I recommend, consisting of various tarts, crostini, chestnut flour fritters, and cured meats.
I tried the homemade croxetti "au tuccu," whose seasoning was very light (perhaps too light).
A good roast with side dishes, tender and flavorful, all accompanied by an excellent house red wine.

Very good. With parking, old-fashioned Genoese dishes, including the waiters and everyone else, are very friendly.

Wonderful experience, local and staff from another time. We chose this small village to escape from Milan and we couldn't have made a better choice. While I was tasting their dishes I was assailed by memories of my grandmother's times.
We will definitely return.
If you are looking for a place to eat well with handmade dishes and super welcoming staff, choose them and you won't go wrong.
