Typical place with excellent cuisine, I really appreciated the professionalism of Nicolaj in particular who was very attentive to our satisfaction making us feel like special customers even though it was the first time in the place. Good guys to hold on to!

Best Florentine steak we had. It's better than the one from trattoria dall'Oste. Tiramisu is the best one we've had, it was served at the perfect temperature The other dishes are great too. Eggplant Parm is great.

Whilst the food was fantastic, what made our evening was the enthusiastic, welcoming, friendly and funny staff we were treated to for the evening. Everyone was so polite and more than happy to explain any dishes we weren't sure about and give recommendations. Our best restaurant experience in a week of great meals in Florence

Cena divertida con un ambiente genial. Había muchos lugareños y turistas la noche que fuimos. Tuvimos un buen servicio y una buena comida. Buena ubicación no lejos de nuestro hotel y bastante cerca de todo.

Situato vicino a S. Maria Novella, varie sale con molti coperti, ma è sempre meglio prenotare. Tovagliato di stoffa, locale rumoroso. Siamo stati accolti con un calice di prosecco Danzante, e abbiamo pasteggiato con Vernaccia Falchini e Chianti Frescobaldi. Ottimi gli antipasti caldi (coccoli, carciofi fritti, carciofi con salsina, flan di porri e spinaci) e freddi (affettati, insalata carciofi e grana, bruschette, ricotta fresca). Molto buoni i primi (tortelloni pere pecorino porro e mandorle, e i pici con salsiccia e cavolo nero). Ottima la fiorentina portata già affettata, spessore giusto, cottura perfetta al sangue. Molto buono il peposo, leggero e morbido; ottimo il coniglio ripieno di pancetta pecorino e carciofi. Discreti i contorni, buoni i dolci. Servizio rapido, attento e sempre cortese,

14/04/2025: Amazing house wine, pasta, and desserts! I may never feel as full as I did when I left here, I could not stop stuffing my face full of this food! The waitstaff was absolutely amazing as well, making the experience memorable as well as fun! 10/10 would recommend as a traditional restaurant while in Florence!

28/04/2025: "Super" During our stay in Florence we had the pleasure of dining at Buca Poldo, an authentic hidden gem just a few steps from Piazza della Signoria. The atmosphere is incredibly romantic, thanks to the suggestive position in a characteristic alley which offers a truly unique experience. We started with a simply delicious first course, which immediately conquered the palate, followed by a truly superb Florentine steak: cooked to perfection, tender and tasty, one of the best I've ever tasted. The service was impeccable: quick, attentive and very professional. The staff also proved to be extremely knowledgeable in recommending an excellent wine to pair with our dishes. Special praise goes to Luciano, the owner, who welcomed us with great warmth and courtesy, making us immediately feel at home. Finally, the value for money was excellent, especially considering the very high quality of the dishes and the overall experience. In summary, Buca Poldo is an unmissable stop for those seeking authentic Tuscan cuisine, excellent service and an unforgettable atmosphere. Highly recommended!
