Great place, very knowledgeable staff. EXCELLENT price quality

Wonderful family friendly restaurant to eat in Florence, so much that we ate two nights in a row! We ate different meals both nights and loved all our food, including dessert and drinks! They go above and beyond and are one of a kind!

We were two consecutive days for dinner at Giovanni's L'Osteria and were amazed by how exceptionally good this restaurant is. The quality of the food was superb, the staff friendly and attentive. The restaurant is located in a small alley just a few walking minutes away from major sights. Its ambiente is cozy and charming, i imagine it as visiting my italian grandma (...if i had one 😉). The toilets are spaceous and clean. The prices of the dishes are fair, even tho it is a bit higher than usual toscane restaurants. You can get away with about 40-60€ per person depending on the dishes (...and thirst 😅). Shoutout to Alberto, our waiter. Thanks for having us and for the wonderful two evenings, it was a pleasure. The food was very traditional and good. Especially the truffle pasta is very delicious! The service and all the extras made our stay just perfect! There is nothing more to say than „Thank you“

Kajdi (forgive the misspelling if not correct) and the staff were incredibly welcoming, kind, knowledgeable and super friendly. The meal was incredible as was the service. Can't say enough good things about this place. It was recommended by a local and it didn't disappoint. Grazie di cuore Kajdi e lo staff dalla famiglia Italo-Canadese. Forza Viola..sempre!

An amazing meal and a more amazing experience. The food is the best in Florence, the staff attentive and personable but far from overbearing, and the wine is top notch. Highly recommend.

First off I have to say the service here is excellent. We had to wait a few minutes and was offered something to drink while outside. The food itself was so good, the Florentine steak was one of the best steaks I've had and the side of potatoes were nice and salty to make up for the steak not being very seasoned. Really good balance. Finally were given some cookies and lemon sorbet on the house to end the night. Will come back again one day!

Tornata dopo tanti anni, riconfermo la qualità . Ambiente da rivedere/ sistemare con piccoli accorgimenti nulla di più .

Osteria di Giovanni é un must per ogni visita a Firenze, ormai da molti anni. E si conferma sempre come locale eccellente sia per il cibo, dagli ottimi antipasti, alal famosa fiorentina, ai dolci delal casa, sia per l'accoglienza ed il personale di sala. Disponibilitá e simpatia, preparazione e rapiditá ai massimi livelli. Complimenti e ancora grazie per la bella serata che ci avete permesso.
