L'Osteria di Caterina In Dolceacqua

We happened upon a holiday on August 15th. I usually avoid restaurants in such touristy areas. There were no tables available, but when I asked if there was a chance of getting a seat, they prepared a special offer. Food. To start, we had a small selection from the restaurant [small pieces of pizza dough with tomato and spinach sauce and grissini]. For an appetizer, fried dried cod pieces in a bit too much dough but very well seasoned. The grilled porcini mushrooms and breaded fried mushrooms were delicious. I could have eaten just that as a starter, first course, and second course. Main courses: the Calabria pizza was simply okay. The swordfish was tasty and fresh. The grilled lamb ribs were delicious. And for dessert, we had tiramisu – a strong coffee flavor and a generous amount of sponge cake, less cream, and coffee. Service was quick and courteous. We paid less than 100 euros.

This establishment is considerably underrated. Discovered while exploring the historic alleys, we had a wonderful evening, enjoying simple, masterful, and quality cuisine, a true delight.

Excellent value for money! Large homemade pizzas with quality ingredients for less than €10—well worth it! Drinks and desserts are also reasonably priced. Large shaded terrace in the heart of the old town. Ideal location for a stopover while exploring the area! The place can accommodate groups (there were 10 of us).

Stopped by Dolcaqua where we ate very good pizzas with good value for money. The little touches of homemade food were very pleasant for the aperitif and dessert. Very good homemade tiramisu. I highly recommend it.

Super good pizza Slightly bilingual staff

I've eaten at Osteria Da Caterina numerous times with my family, and despite the many negative comments, we've always enjoyed both the service and the food. It's certainly not a fancy restaurant, which we're not looking for, and we feel at ease here, welcomed warmly and informally. We find the value for money to be excellent, as is the food, especially the mushrooms (especially when seasonal and therefore fresh). This restaurant is a regular stop in Dolceacqua for us, and we'll definitely be back.

Emplacement à côté de l'église, en bas du centre du vieux village, service rapide et c'était excellent. Vraiment, nous nous sommes régalés.
