L'Osteria di Caterina In Dolceacqua

We visited the charming village of Dolceacqua and had a memorable lunch at L’Osteria di Caterina. Quick, friendly service and authentic Italian dishes. The milanesa, pasta, and fish were all excellent. Don’t miss the porcini mushrooms, are absolutely delicious!

Just ate at this trattoria. The lamb chops with fries were very good. The fried artichokes were plentiful and delicious. Ms. Caterina and her staff were kind, helpful, and quick. Highly recommended.

Genuine, clean flavors. Perhaps many are no longer accustomed to tasting the authentic flavor of food without the unnecessary and redundant frills of pseudo-chefs from TV shows. Fresh porcini mushrooms, tagliatelle with wild boar, fried anchovies, and even a simple yet crispy mixed salad. All simple yet authentic. Grilled lamb. All washed down with an excellent Rossese di Dolceacqua.

My husband and I ate at this restaurant on August 29, 2025. We had a great time. The dishes were plentiful and delicious. The staff was very friendly. We recommend it.

Today I was in Dolce Acqua to visit the castle, for lunch I ate at Osteria da Caterina, a very good fish lunch, I recommend it.

We ordered a spicy pizza and tagliatelle with wild boar. The pizza here is very tasty. The dough, sauce, ingredients are super. But I didn't really like the tagliatelle. The pasta was too salty, and there wasn't enough wild boar to cover the salty taste with meat. Overall, nothing to worry about. The atmosphere and people are nice here. Thank you.

An exceptional address. Authentic cuisine, menu with specialties, the low price of each dish allows you to taste several and satisfy the gourmets!!!!

We happened upon a holiday on August 15th. I usually avoid restaurants in such touristy areas. There were no tables available, but when I asked if there was a chance of getting a seat, they prepared a special offer. Food. To start, we had a small selection from the restaurant [small pieces of pizza dough with tomato and spinach sauce and grissini]. For an appetizer, fried dried cod pieces in a bit too much dough but very well seasoned. The grilled porcini mushrooms and breaded fried mushrooms were delicious. I could have eaten just that as a starter, first course, and second course. Main courses: the Calabria pizza was simply okay. The swordfish was tasty and fresh. The grilled lamb ribs were delicious. And for dessert, we had tiramisu – a strong coffee flavor and a generous amount of sponge cake, less cream, and coffee. Service was quick and courteous. We paid less than 100 euros.

Emplacement à côté de l'église, en bas du centre du vieux village, service rapide et c'était excellent. Vraiment, nous nous sommes régalés.
