L'Osteria del Vico In Maruggio

We arrived at the Vico tavern without a reservation and at first they had knocked us out after 10 seconds they offered us dinner at 7.50pm and we immediately accepted. We ate really well, typical dishes and found the staff friendly and helpful. I read a one-star review from a guy who probably wanted to spite the restaurant more than anything. I don't know to what extent it may have damaged the restaurant as in my opinion, the place and the staff deserve 10/10 overall. We will definitely be back.

Very friendly and competent staff. We had dinner (reservations are highly recommended) choosing between meat and fish with a bit of embarrassment in the choice because there aren't many menu items but it's all very good food. Excellent starters, first and second courses. 4 meat starters, 2 cuts, 2 fillets with local wine cream, a course of meat morsels, 4 grilled vegetables and a fried potato, 2 desserts, 3 bottles of water and 2 liters of local rosé (truly fantastic). All for 35 euros each. Excellent value for money. I will definitely come back to taste the first courses and the fish. My compliments

The staff are courteous and helpful, ready to advise on both food and wines, helping to make the experience even more pleasant.

We really enjoyed Osteria del Vico. During our stay in Apulia we ate here three times and the food was outstanding. Plenty of local authentic dishes. Menu is not too big which is a big plus. Products are fresh and local. You can definitely feel it. Every time I have ordered something different and everything tasted excellent. Prices were on the spot for what you are getting. You would need to reserve the table in advance as we saw most drop ins couldn’t get a place. Must try this place!

Really great service, great location, you can sit outside very nicely. Food was good. Small taste note is missing too very well but that's really a small thing. We'll definitely be back 😊

Menu with excellent quality products, impeccable service, very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff, normal prices. Nice location, it is located in a small hamlet waiting to be discovered, the walk after dinner is very pleasant.
